The last time we saw Adam Rose, he was leaving WWE under not-so-pleasant terms, having been released from his contract along with a host of other WWE Superstars like Alex Riley, Wade Barrett, Santino Marella, Damien Sandow, and Cody Rhodes. To date, only Rhodes has been the most successful since his departure, but Rose may get a chance to change that.
In a recent Instagram post, Adam Rose hinted at a possible WWE return.
He specifically tagged WWE and NXT in his post and his comments section was flooded with questions about a possible return. It was a mixed reaction to whether or not he was trolling the fans or if the WWE Universe would get the return of Rose, the Rosebuds, and the Exotic Express.
Why would people think Rose was trolling fans? Well, his history with the WWE is tumultuous, to say the least. Before being released, Rose hadn't appeared on WWE programming since earning a 60-day suspension for a wellness violation. He argued the suspension publicly on Twitter, posting a doctor's note and explaining his use of a prescribed medication. The WWE was not a fan of that move.
His suspension was extended indefinitely when he was arrested on charges of tampering with a witness and battery domestic violence. He was released on $1,000 bond and ordered to undergo counseling. Those charges were eventually dropped.
Before adopting the party gimmick, the star was known as Leo Kruger and was essentially a hunter. Once he dropped that, he adopted the persona of Adam Rose and it took off in a very positive way. He was called up to the main roster not long afterward, and while a huge hit in NXT, his character and wild entrance didn't translate as well to the WWE audience on Raw. His Exotic Express included names like Braun Strowman, Becky Lynch, and Justin Gabriel as a Bunny, whom he eventually feuded with.
Many of the talents in his entourage have gone on to be huge stars, Rose, on the other hand, was just looking for an opportunity to get back into the game. If his hint that WWE fans should get ready has any truth to it, he may have found that opportunity.
