Kenny Omega lost to Jon Moxley in an unsanctioned war at AEW Full Gear, and when we say war, we mean it. Some wrestling fans loved it and others hated it but in the end, many had the same thought after it was all said and done: boy oh boy has Omega had a bad start to life in All Elite Wrestling.

It certainly feels like this was the intention all along, with Omega being beaten down only to be built back up eventually before he goes on to win the AEW World Championship. Today, we're going to take a look at the many different directions the promotion can go in with this.

10 Heel Turn

He’s spent a good portion of his time at the top as a bad guy, and we can’t see a reason as to why he should remain a babyface for all too long. The guy just feels like a complete natural when it comes to this sort of alignment, and it’s clear to see the whole babyface gig isn’t working out too well for him.

AEW probably wants him to rise up from the ashes and do some incredible things, and while we can kind of understand that, there’s no guarantee that’s a strategy which is going to work out. Not even close.

9 Time Off

Sometimes you just need to give your body some time to heal and when your name is Kenny Omega, you 100% need to give your body some time to heal. The guy has been through some battles as of late, and maybe it’s smart for him to take a step back from this chaotic business.

He can go on holiday, rest at home, or perhaps just find something else that makes him passionate for a little while. There’s no harm in it, and it’s not like it’s a sign of the guy wanting to leave the company. He just wants to chill.

8 Pipebomb

CM Punk dropped that famous pipebomb over eight years ago now which, in itself, is a frightening statistic. While we don’t like to call every great promo a pipebomb it certainly does feel like there are a lot of controversial things Kenny could get off his chest, and AEW could do a masterful job of making it all feel and seem a little bit more real.

It depends on how far they’re willing to go with it and, in many ways, how much creative freedom they’re willing to give Omega as he goes off in his own direction.

7 Change In-Ring Style

Omega puts his body on the line every single time he goes out there, and he does so with a style that is, well, unique to say the least. Everything he does he does well but that isn’t necessarily what fans are looking for all the time.

If he can show a bit of diversity and range in his moveset and the way he gets around the ring, fans may come on board a bit more to the idea that he’s one of the best wrestlers in the world. If not, then critics will come out and suggest he’s just resting on his old tricks.

6 Bullet Club Reunion

There’s a significant force attempting to run the show in All Elite Wrestling right now, and that force goes by the name of The Inner Circle. While it was a faction that certainly felt a bit ‘thrown together’ in the early stages of development, we’re starting to believe that it was a minor stroke of genius from AEW.

Now they need a group that is willing to stick up to them, and who better than the Bullet Club to reunite, add a few new members and really go in for the kill.

5 Title Run

It makes no sense whatsoever to even consider putting the belt on Kenny Omega right now, but All Elite Wrestling has already proven that they’re capable of making a few questionable decisions here and there.

Omega and Chris Jericho have history and they need to settle their score sooner rather than later. We think it’s a title match that is absolutely bound to take place down the road, but who knows, maybe AEW will panic and pull the trigger on it. It probably wouldn’t go in Omega’s direction, but it’s a start.

4 On-Screen Personality

We’ve never really pictured Kenny Omega as much of an on-screen personality as opposed to a wrestler, but we’ve seen him surprise us many times before – and he’s certainly capable of doing so again.

We aren’t going to suggest he becomes the general manager or anything like that because it’s a super played out way of booking things and going about your business, but even so, the odd appearance away from the ring would definitely build up the anticipation for his return, which is what you need to do sometimes with a wounded superstar.

3 Losing Run Continues

They're building a story of Kenny Omega being unable to adapt to his surroundings fully in All Elite Wrestling and we’re not mad at it whatsoever. It makes sense for him to be struggling early on, and they can do a lot with that idea.

Whether or not he carries on losing remains to be seen, but it’s certainly within the realm of possibility. Omega can bounce back by stringing together a few strong performances and then before you know it, he’ll be back on top of the mountain all over again.

2 NJPW Return

Many wrestlers have already bounced back and forth between the two, and you can just imagine the pop that The Cleaner would receive if he returned to New Japan Pro Wrestling. The former IWGP Heavyweight Champion wasn’t afraid of anyone over there, and it could give him the confidence boost he needs.

They could even work it into a storyline of sorts with Omega coming out and suggesting that he had to return to Japan in order to find himself again. It feels authentic, and that’s the most important thing.

1 New Look

We’re fans of Kenny Omega’s current look, but let’s not beat around the bush here: Omega could probably look good with any number of looks. All he needs to do is mix it up a bit with the attire and the hairstyle and people will be talking for weeks – which tends to be a common theme within this weird and wonderful world of the graps.

Omega knows himself better than anyone, though, so it all does come down to his own personal preference, but we’re backing the idea of something fresh.
