All Elite Wrestling will be on television in less than a month, with the new promotion having hosted a number of PPVs in the lead up to the big debut.

Tickets for their TV show have already gone on sale while there are also tickets out for their next PPV, Full Gear.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has disclosed some data as it relates to the sales of tickets in the Charlotte and Baltimore markets and how it compares to WWE sales.

Tickets for an AEW TNT show in Charlotte and Full Gear both went on sale last Friday. And, according to the Observer, 2,500 sold for Charlotte in the first hour while 4,500 sold for Baltimore at the Royal Farms Arena. By the end of the first day capacity for the Baltimore show was at 65 percent, just a little above what Raw sold for the same location last week.

AEW is also opening additional sections as they sell in front of the camera first; these have all sold out.

There are still tickets available for Full Gear, which could be viewed as a drop given the fact that Double or Nothing and All Out sold out after just an hour. At the time of writing, Stubhub had 920 tickets still up for sale attached to a $30 entry fee.

Charlotte tickets are going for $48 but tapings in DC and Philadelphia are significantly lower markets, going for $6.12 and $11 respectively.

AEW probably won't do as well as WWE in Charlotte, although the latter's Clash of the Champions PPV is in a different building.

So according to the source's numbers, a WWE PPV sells better than an AEW TV show but an AEW PPV beats WWE TV while there's not much between AEW and RAW.

AEW Isn't Doing Half Bad

It appears that AEW is doing pretty well for starters and that they're almost matching WWE in certain markets while beating them in others is a good sign.

Things could go either way once their TNT show really starts rolling. We will probably have some more sales statistics for you then.
