AJ Styles has been the face of SmackDown Live since WWE went back to the two different promotions and shows in 2016. As such, the current WWE Champion rightfully refers to the blue brand as "The House That AJ Styles Built."

The Phenomenal One has been exactly what SmackDown has needed, putting on countless great matches while giving the brand a major babyface to cheer for. Of course, Monday Night Raw can't quite say the same, given that the fans continue to reject Roman Reigns as their ultimate good guy.

The idea of losing Styles to the Raw brand would be devastating for SmackDown, but a major win for Kurt Angle and Stephanie McMahon. The good news for them is that Styles expressed interest in returning to raw during a media conference call (per WrestlingInc.com).

"I think it would be cool if we all were in The Club together. Who knows if that will ever happen, but it would definitely be fun. But, as far as moving to Raw, I don't plan on losing to Shinsuke Nakamura, and I can't imagine [WWE] would make the champ go to Raw."

Styles, of course, is referring to Gallows and Anderson, where they worked together in the Bullet Club faction for New Japan Pro Wrestling. The trio were together as 'The Club' in WWE for a few short months, before the 2016 draft sent Styles over the SmackDown brand. Gallows and Anderson were drafted to Raw, where they've since remained.

On paper, moving Styles (arguably WWE's biggest star right now), over to the main brand in Raw makes sense. But SmackDown has seen massive attendance issues, and the ratings have been plummeting consistently. Putting Styles back on Raw could easily complicate the matters even more.

Gallows and Anderson have been one of the main tag teams on Raw, too. It wouldn't make sense to have Styles reform the club with them, considering his status as one of the biggest main event draws in singles competition.

Last year's Superstar Shake-Up happened shortly after WrestleMania 33, so we may not have to wait much longer in finding out whether Styles stays on SmackDown or goes to Raw.
