There's no doubt that WWE Raw women's champion Alexa Bliss has one of the more interesting gimmicks within the company. She recently explained how she came up with her tantrum gimmick.

Bliss had the following to say according to ESPN.com:

"So I was at the airport and this little kid would not go through security and just threw a fit in the middle of the floor and did the whole thing with shaking his legs and arms. His parents were just standing there looking like, 'We don't know what to do!'"

"They were annoyed, and I was like, 'Man, that's a really bratty thing to do and I'm going to do it.'"

Here's a video clip of Alexa throwing a tantrum after a failed kick-up.

Bliss hasn't always acted like a brat, but when she turned heel everything changed.

What's really interesting is that Bliss says her character is nothing like who she really is.

"When it comes to the Alexa Bliss character, everyone says the character has to be an extension of yourself turned up. But I feel like I am the complete opposite of Alexa Bliss. When I came up with the Alexa Bliss character, I wanted to be the girl that everyone knew. There was always that girl in high school who was mean to everybody. She was mean and rude but everyone still voted for her to be homecoming queen. That girl. And I wanted to portray that girl. Because I knew that girl in high school. I knew girls like that."

Most wrestlers say that their characters are an extension of themselves, but I can see how it would be difficult to be a villain if you're naturally a nice and sweet person.

It's going to be interesting to see where Bliss' WWE career takes her. She's only 26 years-old and has accomplished a lot so far. She's been the Raw and SmackDown Women's champion twice already in her career. That means she's has already won a championship four times, since making her debut in 2016 on the main roster after transitioning from NXT Wrestling.

Bliss, along with Sasha Banks just made history this week as they became the first ever female wrestlers to wrestle in Abu Dhabi, which is located in the United Arab Emirates. Women wrestlers had never before been allowed to perform there.

Bliss and Banks wore body suits in order to cover their bodies up and the match was a complete success.

With Bliss having been on SmackDown before and now on Raw, she recently stated the difference between both brands.

“There's really not a big difference. I'd say the only big difference is when I first started on Raw, I noticed there is a different sense of urgency because Raw is deemed the flagship show. So there's always a little more urgency when it comes to Raw, but I do miss SmackDown a lot. The locker room is great.”

One reason that Bliss really enjoys Raw is that she gets to see one of her best friends in Nia Jax. Bliss says she clicked right away when she met Jax and it's nice to be able to see her all the time.

One of the biggest controversies this year is that USA Network is forcing WWE to broadcast Raw live on Christmas night. Bliss said that she's indifferent on the matter and knows that it's her job and she's going to do it without a problem.

With Bliss being the Raw Women's champion, it's going to be interesting to see who challenges her for the title.
