One of the things that AEW generally does better than WWE is their tag team division. Vince McMahon has reputedly always had a dim view of tag team wrestling in general, which is why it's frequently on the back burner. AEW pushed it to the forefront thanks to epic teams like Private Party, Santana & Ortiz, Lucha Bros, Best Friends, SoCal Uncensored (SCU), and The Young Bucks.

SCU even became the inaugural AEW Tag Team Champions, eventually dropping the belts to Kenny Omega and "Hangman" Adam Page. But for some reason, The Young Bucks don't seem to be in the mix.

10 THE YOUNG BUCKS: Founding Fathers

Alongside other members of The Elite, Matt and Nick Jackson are two of the founding fathers of All Elite Wrestling. As such, they appear to have chosen to keep themselves away from the title picture, possibly so no one thinks that they are using their position to advance their own careers.

That being said, they are one of the best tag teams in the world and no one is going to question them holding the belts. In fact, it seems odd that they haven't been chasing the belts more actively.

9 SCU: High Profile Signings

As friends of The Elite, SCU were key signings for the fledgling company. Frankie Kazarian, Christopher Daniels, and Scorpio Sky are three of the top wrestlers around.

They have teamed together in a variety of incarnations in different companies over the years. All three wrestlers are highly respected throughout the industry so having them on board so early in AEW was important.

Young Bucks

The popularity of The Young Bucks should never be underestimated, due in no small part to their incredible talent and unique style. Their massive fan base has followed them through a variety of companies, including Ring of Honor, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, Chikara, and Dragon Gate USA.

However, they are best known for their work in New Japan Pro-Wrestling alongside Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, and more. It was there that The Young Bucks proved how elite they truly are.

7 SCU: Experience

The experience levels among the members of SCU is incredible. Christopher Daniels debuted in 1993 and has worked for pretty much every major company. That includes both WWF and WCW.

Frankie Kazarian started a few years later in 1998, spending the majority of his career with TNA and Ring of Honor. Despite being in the business for 18 years, Scorpio Sky has the least experience among his team members. That doesn't make him any less talented, though.

6 THE YOUNG BUCKS: Innovative Team

Without question, The Young Bucks are one of the most innovative tag teams in wrestling today. Since debuting in 2004, they have continually found ways to up their game, delivering some of the most scintillating tag team manoeuvers in the business.

That's the long way of saying that they are fun to watch and generally put on incredible matches. The Young Bucks' frenetic, creative in-ring style has earned them the respect of peers, pundits, and fans alike.

5 SCU: Scorpio Sky

For a long time, Scorpio Sky was not getting the respect he deserved from the wider wrestling community. An obviously talented performer, he was constantly looking for that moment to jump into the limelight. Joining SCU was a huge step in the right direction.

They held tag team championships in Ring of Honor, both the standard championship and the Six-Man Tag Team Championship. Then, SCU came to AEW, and he and Kazarian became the promotion's first-ever champions. It was an outstanding moment.

4 THE YOUNG BUCKS: Worldwide Champions

While SCU is a more recent endeavor, The Young Bucks have been tag team specialists for a long, long time. Their resume of championships is as long as a Superkick Party and includes reigns in almost every company they have worked for.

All the gold The Young Bucks have obtained in Ring of Honor and NJPW are enough for Hall of Fame worthy careers. Because of that, it feels a little odd they haven't been the AEW World Tag Team Champions, yet.

3 SCU: Fan Favorites

The reality is that fans love these guys. No one is suggesting that other teams in AEW are not popular with the fans, but SCU gets a lot of love. Again, Christopher Daniels has been in the business for 27 years so it's not hard to imagine that he has built up quite a fan base.

Add in Kazarian's 22 years and Sky's 18, and the SCU have a grand total of 67 years in the ring. Performers cannot help but build up goodwill with that kind of tenure.

2 THE YOUNG BUCKS: Best In The World

For someone like Dave Meltzer, The Young Bucks are the best tag team in the world. This is a sentiment that is shared among a lot of people. It's no secret that WWE showed interest in The Young Bucks behind the scenes but they chose their own path.

In the long run, that's for the best since it's unlikely WWE would use them correctly, like most tag teams the promotion brings in.

1 SCU: Division Leaders

In SCU, AEW has locker room leaders for their growing tag team division. The Young Bucks are amazing but being Executive Vice Presidents of the company does put extra pressure on them.

SCU provides the experience in the ring and backstage that the still-new company needs. Putting the belts on the SCU first made them the standard-bearers for the highlight of AEW, and they succeeded in that spotlight.
