WWE fans may not have to wait too long to see Edge wrestle his next match.

Edge wrestled his first match in almost three months on this week's episode of WWE Raw, which took place in his hometown of Toronto, Ontario. The Rated-R Superstar defeated Damian Priest, his former Judgment Day ally, via pinfall in front of an electrifying crowd in Scotiabank Arena.

The Ultimate Opportunist tried to continue his attack on Priest following the match, but he was attack by Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley. Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix, Edge's wife, then showed up and grabbed a steel chair to prevent The Judgment Day from continuing their attack on The Rated-R Superstar.

On Wrestling Observer Radio (h/t Ringside News), Dave Meltzer suggested that WWE is planning a major tag team match team match for Clash at the Castle, which will run on Sept. 3 inside Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

"You could see it in the ring, it was one of those reactions – it was a big one," Meltzerr said. "It looks like they’re building to something. It looks like Edge, Rey and Beth Phoenix vs Judgment day for Clash At The Castle."

The Hall of Famer was written off of television with a storyline injury before making a surprise return less than two months later at SummerSlam 2022. There, he helped Rey and Dominik Mysterio defeat Balor and Priest in a tag team match.
