The current batch of WWE stars are arguably the best of this decade as we not only have some amazing male talent on the main roster right now, but the female wrestlers are some of the most talented women to have stepped foot in the WWE. There's a lot of harmony and peace backstage these days as the tensions which plagued the company due to politics back in the day have settled down and everyone seems to get along with each other nowadays.

While WWE stars are careful to not do anything silly or controversial in real life which could hamper their careers, they do end up doing some regrettable stuff. They might be larger than life characters on WWE TV, but some of these stars were part of silly incidents which brought them great shame. Most of these backstage stories aren't known by the general WWE fanbase and the superstars would want it to stay that way.

These wrestlers made some mistakes or had some pranks go wrong which left them red-faced for quite a while. They wouldn't want you to know these embarrassing stories about them, which could change the perception of the fans towards these WWE stars.

15 Kofi Kingston Tried To Fight Vince McMahon On A Flight

via prowrestlingstories.com

Kofi Kingston has really gotten over as one of WWE's most successful mid-carders in the past few years with his work for the New Day being impeccable. The former Smackdown Tag Team Champion looks like a very happy chap in WWE these days, but that wasn't the case in his initial years when he was struggling to get over. Apparently this bugged Kofi, who got even more agitated when Vince McMahon once told him on a flight that "maybe one day he'd get over". This made Chris Jericho instigate him to "stand up for himself" and Kofi took it to heart, legitimately confronting McMahon and the two even had a verbal spat. This followed with McMahon trying to take-down Kofi and mat-wrestle him, and even though it was a joke with no real heat, this incident will remain one Kofi will always be embarrassed by.

via pinterest.com

Xavier Woods has been a really entertaining aspect of the New Day for the past few years and has shown a lot of charisma with his delightful personality, as he lets the Power of Positivity keep him happy all the time. But Woods wasn't really always this "positive" in life and has a really interesting story from his high school days which he spoke about in an interview. Woods was in a rival school to former WWE star Cody Rhodes and was competitive with him back then and didn't like him at all. That turned to hatred when Woods lost to Cody in an amateur wrestling match before he was embarrassed in front of his crush by Cody as well. But when he joined WWE, he realized how much of a good guy Cody really is, and this embarrassing story is one Xavier would want to remain discreet.

13 Carmella Almost Missed SmackDown Because She Locked Herself In Her Hotel Room

via skysports.com

Carmella enjoyed a great 2017 in the WWE where she became the inaugural Ms. Money in the Bank by winning the briefcase not only once, but twice thanks to some help from James Ellsworth. She continued with a great 2018 so far, cashing in the briefcase on Charlotte Flair and becoming SmackDown Women's Champion. But before all of this, The Princess of Staten Island was part of a rather embarrassing situation, where she got locked in her hotel room. It was on the day of a SmackDown Live show and her hotel room door had to be literally plied off before she could escape her room and make it in time for the show. This was definitely a rather humiliating incident for Mella, who wouldn't want her reputation tarnished by more fans getting to know about this freak incident.

12 Sami Zayn Was Mistaken For Zack Ryder In Iceland

via pinterest.com

Sami Zayn has seen an amazing change in personality over the past few months, as he shocked many by turning heel and siding with Kevin Owens at Hell in a Cell last year. While Zayn might be excelling at his role as a pesky heel right now, he's still a really nice guy in real life and talked about various things when he appeared on Talk is Jericho with Kevin Owens recently. He recounted many stories but the one which stood out the most was when Zayn talked about an incident where a fan mistook him for Zack Ryder during their tour in Iceland. Zayn was evidently taken aback and embarrassed because of it, and even after becoming a popular WWE star, he still finds himself in odd spots and wouldn't want the fans to know about this story because of how embarrassing it is to him.

11 Finn Balor Had To Clean Toilets In The New Japan Dojo

via givemesport.com

Finn Balor has grown as a really popular WWE superstar over the past few years, with the former NXT Champion being loved by everyone for his charisma and amazing in-ring talent. While the inaugural Universal Champion hasn't attained the success he'd like on the main roster, he's come a long way since his New Japan days. Balor spent a number of years in Japan and while he only attained popularity in his later years there, he had to struggle hard in his initial years. Along with the rigorous training and wrestling schedule, Balor also had to do some chores in the New Japan Dojo, which included him cleaning toilets and the gyms. While this is something everyone had to do, Balor would probably now be a bit embarrassed about it because of his stardom and wouldn't want the fans to know about this certain story of his past.

10 The Hardys Stole Kane's Seat On A Plane

via YouTube.com

The Hardy Boys returned last year to the WWE as veterans of the Tag Team Division, but they were quite the wild tag team back in the day and loved to party hard thanks to their then-manager, Michael PS Hayes. The Hardys were in a celebratory mood after winning the Tag Team Titles in 1999 and after being influenced by Hayes, they went on to occupy first-class seats in an airplane after the show. But what they hadn't realized is that one of the seats was Kane's, who had problems sitting in a general seat. While Kane was nice enough to give up his seat, the incident was later taken to Wrestlers' Court where the Hardys were punished by being given a job to prank someone. This crazy incident caused the two a lot of embarrassment and is something they wouldn't want many to know about.

9 Randy Orton Doused A Divas Belongings With Baby Oil

via youtube.com

Randy Orton has turned into one of the veterans in the WWE right now, with The Viper having retained his popularity over the years because of his terrific in-ring work and his "RKO Outta Nowhere". While Orton is well respected backstage these days, he wasn't liked by everyone when he was still young and was part of some nasty backstage incidents. One such incident involved Orton dousing a diva named Rochelle Loewen's handbags and belongings with baby oil and lotion, which is disgusting. The diva revealed it in an interview after leaving WWE and this brought a lot of embarrassment to the multi-time WWE Champion. Orton must've been ashamed of what he did in his younger days in WWE and while he has changed for the better over the years, he wouldn't want the fans to remember him for this embarrassing incident which shows his nastier side.

8 Braun Strowman's Heated Bar Incident With Karen Jarrett

via wrestlingnews.co

Braun Strowman has dominated the scenes on Monday Night Raw over the past year or so, with The Monster Among Men absolutely destroying everything which has come in his path to success. While he might be this terrorizing figure in WWE, everyone knows about how much of a nice guy Braun really is in real life, but even he was a part of a silly, embarrassing incident a few months ago. Apparently, Strowman was drinking at a bar when Karen Jarrett (Kurt Angle's ex-wife) and her son approached him for an autograph, to which he flipped them off. This enraged Karen who blasted Braun for it and reminded him whose son he just disrespected. Strowman would later apologize to her and almost begged for her to not tell Kurt about it which could hamper his reputation, as this embarrassing situation for Strowman is not one he'd want the fans to get to know about.

7 The Big Show Once Soiled His Pants In The Ring

via bleacherreport.com

The Big Show might not be a regular feature on WWE Television anymore, but he is still contracted with the company and is expected to return sooner rather than later for a final stint in the company. While Show might be memorable for many things, one of the stories many might not know is when he had an "accident" during a match. It was in the early 2000s where he was facing Brock Lesnar in South Africa and after taking a few German Suplexes, he accidentally soiled his pants. Apparently, Brock found it hilarious and kept on laughing, while The Big Show just wanted the match to finish. The poor giant couldn't even carry Paul Heyman to the back and was left red-faced backstage, and while his time may be coming to an end in WWE, this particular humiliating incident is one he wouldn't want anyone to know about.

6 Bo Dallas' Unfortunate Airport Incident

via tmz.com

Bo Dallas had rejuvenated his career by joining The Miz's "Miztourage" with Curtis Axel and the two have been playing the part of his pesky side-kicks very well and helping him win a lot of things in WWE. Dallas was having a bit of a difficult period a few years ago after his initial success in the WWE and didn't do any good for himself when he was arrested in 2016 for being intoxicated in an airport. He apparently drunkenly yelled at people at a flight from Mexico and was approached by the authorities after that, with a video evidence of his shameful arrest also making the rounds on the internet. It might be a forgotten afterthought right now, but Dallas was extremely embarrassed by it when it happened and wouldn't want the fans to know about it.

5 Sasha Banks' Terrible Ordeal With A Fan

via reddit.com

Sasha Banks has been a great addition to WWE's Women's Division over the past few years, with The Boss making it big because of her terrific gimmick and ability to put on great matches in the ring. Banks might be a fan-favorite wrestler in the WWE, but she's been pretty vocal about not liking to greet fans outside WWE in real life. She was actually part of a rather rude ordeal with a fan a few years back, when Banks called out a fan for being a "creepy" after he'd taken a picture with her in an airport. But as it seems, that fan was one who was a genuine wrestling fan and had taken pictures with many WWE superstars prior to her. This whole ordeal brought her much humiliation, as she definitely wouldn't want her WWE fans to know about this aspect of her.

via ecwfrenchtribute.free.fr

Sheamus has maintained his role as WWE's nasty heel really over the past decade or so, with the Celtic Warrior recently doing some great work as part of The Bar with Cesaro. While he may seem a real tough guy in real life, that wasn't exactly the case when he joined the WWE and was in developmental. Sheamus lived with Yoshi Tatsu and Ted DiBiase Jr during their time at developmental and often borrowed Tatsu's protein shaker, but didn't clean it after drinking from it. Apparently Tatsu confronted him about it once after which Sheamus got on the offensive and challenged him to a fight. What he didn't know is that Tatsu was trained in the New Japan Dojo and beat Sheamus up pretty bad. It left Sheamus absolutely red-face and he definitely wouldn't want the fans to know about it and recall all that shame again.

via bleacherreport.com

John Cena might be considered a "part-timer" for the WWE, but he's still going strong whenever he is wrestling for the company and is still a huge star for them. Cena has seen it all in his long career in the WWE but has also seen his share of embarrassing situations over the years. Cena was actually part of a rather shameful incident many years ago in the WWE, where he had actually pooped his pants during a match. Apparently, Cena was suffering from food poisoning but decided on wrestling anyways, after which he couldn't hold it in and did it in his pants only. This embarrassing situation proves how even a work-horse like Cena is prone to humiliating situations like this and this embarrassing story is one which the 16 time World Champ wouldn't want the fans to know at all.

2 Goldust's Antics On The Plane Ride From Hell

via lastwordonprowrestling.com

Goldust has been going really strongly in the WWE over all these years and even for someone his age, he still brings a lot of entertaining material on Monday Night Raw. While Goldust might seem a real decent human being, he wasn't exactly that in the early 2000s in WWE and was part of a rather shameful incident on the infamous Plane Ride From Hell. He was insanely drunk on the flight and during that state, he tried to serenade his wife Terri Runnels aka Marlena, who obviously didn't like it. Jim Ross had to put an end to Goldust's' embarrassing behavior, which had prompted him to behave dirtily to a stewardess as well. The whole incident of Goldust in the plane was him at the worst period of his life and that humiliating incident is one he'd like to forget and want nobody else to know about either.

1 Jey Uso's DUI

via twitter.com

Jey Uso has been ruling the tag team division with his brother Jimmy Uso recently, with The Usos dominating the Smackdown Tag Team Titles scene. The Usos have adapted to this new persona really well and it seems like Jey took it a bit too far earlier this year, when he was arrested for drinking under the influence after a WWE live event. Uso was kept on lock-down for a while before being released for a $500 bond, but it definitely got him into some heat with the WWE who must've been livid by the actions of the co-half of the Smackdown Tag Team Champions. Jey must've been embarrassed himself of his antics and will always remember to never drink and drive after this incident and will hope that the fans don't know about this embarrassing mistake on his part.
