WWE superstar Braun Strowman failed to appear on last week's episode of Monday Night Raw, a day after Team Miz betrayed him and threw the Monster Among Men in a garbage truck at the TLC main event.
Commentator Michael Cole announced that Strowman was injured after being driven off in the truck and that he could be out for months. But Andrew Ravens from eWrestlingNews.com is reporting that Strowman is "rumored" to return to Raw tonight, while also noting that he was backstage during last week's show.
During the five-on-three TLC match, Kane turned on Strowman and began to attack him without making his motives clear. Miz, Cesaro, and Sheamus then helped unload Strowman into a truck, where the waiting driver took off and left us with more questions than answers.
Strowman's return could mean a number of possibilities. He could be back to get revenge against The Big Red Machine and the rest of Team Miz. Or he could simply come back and join Team Raw in the five-on-five tag team match vs. Team SmackDown at Survivor Series.
Over the past six months, the creative team has pushed Strowman into being an unstoppable force. He has squashed much of his competition, "flipped" over an ambulance that Roman Reigns was in, and even placed Kalisto into a dumpster and threw it off the stage.
Despite portraying a heel character, Strowman has received plenty of cheers and ovations from the crowd, specifically when he faces Roman Reigns. Strowman has also beaten some of the top competitors, including Big Show, Roman Reigns, and others.
It'll be interesting to see what happens (in storyline) if Strowman returns tonight. Stay tuned.
