At the moment, it is a wacky time in the WWE. Both Vince McMahon and Triple H have a lot on their plates – and that’s an understatement. Let’s take Vince McMahon; he recently welcomed back several stars from the past because of the Crown Jewel event in November. Despite all his efforts, the media isn’t thrilled with WWE partaking in this event due to the recent controversies surrounding the country. The wrestlers aren’t thrilled either. Nonetheless, the show must go on and this is one of Vince’s many dilemmas at the moment. In this article, we forecast other things going on in Vince’s mind behind the scenes. That includes future signings, as well as plans for Survivor Series and WrestleMania.

On the flip side, we discuss the man in charge of WWE’s future, Triple H. He’s just as busy as Vince these days. Triple has a lot to deal with especially pertaining to NXT as he continues to expand the brand. A new TV deal, new signings and new Performance Center hubs are just some of the things Hunter might be discussing behind the scenes. As if that wasn’t enough, he might be involved in another major match come 2019. Like Vince back in the day, Hunter is doing it all, both on television and behind the scenes.

From speculation about The Undertaker's retirement to Bullet Club invading NXT, these are 10 backstage leaks Vince McMahon might be thinking about and 10 Triple H might be. Enjoy and like always, be sure to share the article. Let’s get started!

20 Vince McMahon - Drew McIntyre Push

via instagram.com

Feels like old times right? HBK and Triple H reunited as D-Generation X while Vince McMahon is once again high on Drew McIntyre. However, this time around, the push won’t lead to an IC Championship, as Vince might have bigger plans.

After picking up victories over Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, clearly, McMahon has big plans for Drew planting seeds week after week. McIntyre is also on rocky terms with Braun Strowman in the recent episodes. All of this might lead to a big singles match between McIntyre and Reigns for the WWE Universal Title. Look for this encounter to take place at either Survivor Series or the TLC PPV.

19 Triple H - Masked Wrestlers Taking Over NXT

via mlw.com

Triple H just always seems to be one step ahead – that’s rather evident with his style of booking with NXT, the brand is so different and entertaining giving the viewers new and fresh content on a weekly basis.

He might be plotting the next big step behind the scenes and that’s the signings of two major masked wrestlers. On top of the totem pole is Pentagon Jr., a major presence outside of the WWE. Fenix is another wrestler Triple H has a lot of interest in. We can see these two making a huge splash with NXT down the road. Bandido, Rey Mysterio’s All-In partner, is another masked wrestler WWE recently scouted. The NXT landscape can be quite different with these three in the future.

18 Vince McMahon - No Chris Jericho

via academymusicgroup.com

With all the returns taking place on WWE programming in the recent weeks there is one popular wrestler Vince isn’t thinking about and that’s Chris Jericho. According to Y2J himself, he didn’t attend the 1,000th SmackDown episode because an invite was not extended.

There might be more to the story. According to Chris Jericho, the reason for Vince taking him out of the casket match against The Undertaker at GRR had to do with his involvement in a match against Naito. Perhaps, with speculation about a possible Impact deal, WWE doesn’t want to put that spotlight on him. For those reasons, don’t expect a Jericho return anytime soon.

17 Triple H - NXT Invasion

via twitter.com

This was a rumor that came out months ago. According to the speculation, WWE might be planning an NXT invasion for the future. This would put more eyeballs on the product while creating quite the compelling storyline. Really, this would be a win-win type of scenario for both the main roster and NXT.

There is no timetable for this rumor. However, with a FOX deal looming perhaps the fall of 2019 might be a great time to use this scenario. Fans of NXT want this to happen sooner rather than later and we don’t blame them. With so much reliance on the older guard these days, this type of storyline can give the fans a much needed breath of fresh air.

16 Vince McMahon – Super-Show In Russia

via wwe.com

@WWE ask me to jump inside. What do you think guys? #SmashLesnar #FakeFights.

That tweet was sent out by UFC star Khabib Nurmagomedov just days after his big victory over Conor McGregor. According to Ringside News, the offer was made. However, it was months prior to the fight. According to the latest backstage gossip, the offer was extended with the intent of a Super-Show over in Russia.

The company feels as though Khabib could have been an excellent option to facilitate negotiations overseas. His potential presence at such a show would also help. Clearly, WWE is planning a lot more Super-Shows given their recent success.

15 Triple H – Match Versus Batista

via sportwiki.com

For the longest time, Batista has been discussing a WWE return. Finally, on a recent episode of SmackDown 1,000 the Animal finally returned to his wilderness. Clearly, the big man was one happy camper during his return. However, given the ending of the segment there might be more to this story.

Batista expressed his desire to take on Triple H numerous times in the past. It seems as though WWE kind of granted his wish by setting up a teaser angle at SmackDown 1,000. Potentially, this can be a match to go down at the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania. With Batista and the Hall of Fame strongly linked, a match against Hunter two days later might be the perfect send-off.

14 Vince McMahon – New Japan Arrivals

via twitter.com

With WWE’s FOX debut looming near, Vince McMahon is always looking for ways to bolster the product even further. One clear path the boss wants to take is the signings of new wrestlers. That always gets people talking.

Some of New Japan’s brightest stars, particularly The Elite, might be closer to a deal than ever before. With new ownership taking over, it is currently being said that lots of the current New Japan talent aren’t on the best of terms with the new people in charge. Included in that conversation is Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks. Look for Vince to possibly lock this deal down in the upcoming months when their contracts run out.

13 Triple H - Signing Walter

via twitter.com

“I don’t know if I mentioned this but being a part of the Raw or SmackDown roster is nothing I am interested in. I don’t want to live in the US. “I really like NXT though, I think it’s a great product, filled with the best talent in the world and is focused on competition in the ring, which is something I enjoy."(Source: Sescoops)

So you’re saying there’s a chance? To quote Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber, Walter hasn’t fully closed the door on the WWE just yet. The indie star has interest in NXT. Hunter’s always looking to revamp his roster at every chance. Once Walter finally becomes available, he’ll join the developmental brand.

12 Vince McMahon – The Curious Case Of Asuka

via wwe.com

What the heck is going on with Asuka? According to the latest backstage leaks, not much... Asuka was the one likely to turn heel. Instead, WWE opted for Becky Lynch. Week after week, WWE continues to bypass Asuka. She’s MIA from a lot of the shows and the suggested reason is quite baffling.

According to the speculation, Vince doesn’t buy into Asuka due to her limited English. This has sunk her down the card with no end in sight. It’ll be interesting to see how this one plays out. However, don’t expect much from The Empress.

11 Triple H - More Performance Centers

via wwe.com

“Seventy percent of our viewership across all our platforms comes from outside of the US. We want to keep the world engaged. “Our goal is to find local talent to try out with the WWE, train them locally, then see the talent eventually move to the US, become part of a global brand in NXT, go to Raw, go to SmackDown, and then be a part of WrestleMania.” (Source Sescoops)

Now that’s quite the vision we can all agree. According to the backstage word, Hunter wants to work this plan by setting up various Performance Center hubs around the world. As he suggests, the talent would train locally and when the time comes, they’d join any of the brands. We can all admit this is a great formula for the future.

10 Vince McMahon - Stephanie’s Role At Women’s Evolution

via foxnews.com

As you might have anticipated, Vince McMahon has major plans for Stephanie McMahon during the upcoming Evolution PPV. She played a crucial role in the announcement of the inaugural women’s Royal Rumble. Expect the same thing to take place at the October PPV.

Rumors are starting to swirl pertaining to what Stephanie’s role might be. Speculation suggests she might be the one to make the blockbuster announcement for the new Women’s Tag Titles finally making their debut. Some fans might roll their eyes at Stephanie being the one to make such an announcement – nonetheless, this is great news and something fans have been waiting for a long time.

9 Triple H - WWE PPV In The UK

via wwe.com

Triple H continues to make a massive impact expanding the WWE brand out in the UK. However, a big elephant in the room is the WWE’s unwillingness to put on a PPV in the area. According to Trips, a lot of that has to do with the terrible revenue generated from the 1992 SummerSlam PPV. For that reason, WWE hasn’t returned for a PPV since.

Hunter did suggest that a PPV will go down when the time is right. The biggest issue deals with the time zones. Nonetheless, Hunter does see a PPV taking place in the area. With all these Super Shows taking place lately, UK can be next on the agenda in 2019.

8 Vince McMahon - Cena Return Not Likely

via today.com

During the behind the scenes from the recent Australia Super-Show, John Cena admitted that his future bookings might be few and far between. Cena admitted that at his age health is of the utmost importance. Therefore, appearances will be more sporadic.

Along with his health, Cena has various projects he’s currently committed to outside of the business. This means less John Cena, and it might be a rare year in which Cena isn’t booked for the biggest event of the year, WrestleMania 35. No John Cena is never a good thing, love him or hate him.

7 Triple H - NXT TO FS1

via ringsidenews.com

Vince wants NXT to generate more money. An easy way to do so is by getting a network deal. Hunter appears to be on the move with rumors swirling about a possible deal with FS1. The Game didn’t deny it:

"Once we get into the Fox deal, you know certainly as we begin to get closer to October next year we'll all be beginning to have conversations and we'll see what those conversations bring up. We'll see where it should be, how long it should be, all those things, but everything is on the table.” (Source: Wrestlinginc)

An optimistic answer and one that can become a reality a year from now – for now, he’ll have a lot of work to do with his developmental brand hopefully furthering their reputation.

6 Vince McMahon - Hogan Returning To TV

via newindianexpress.com

“He is an icon, that’s for sure. He will be back. I mean I grew up with Hulk. He’s iconic.”

Those are the words from Shane McMahon during a recent interview with Opie Radio podcast. Shane is another strong source to confirm the return of Hulk Hogan. This monumental comeback might take place sooner rather than later, some speculate Hogan might appear at the Crown Jewel event, though nothing is confirmed at this point.

Clearly, Vince’s thinking about the potential return. In order to get a better crowd reaction Hulk might return alongside his stable, the nWo – a wise decision to say the least.

5 Triple H - Bullet Club To NXT

via nerdfectstrangers.com

Tama Tonga is starting to drop some serious hints about a possible Bullet Club invasion come January. He’s taking things a step further recently. Tonga reached out to former Bullet Club members Finn Balor, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. Who know if this is all a work? However, lots of platforms are starting to discuss that the Bullet Club to the WWE can become a reality as of early 2019.

Surely, Triple H is going to be front and center for this type of signing. We can see the Bullet Club invading NXT for a short-time and then moving up to the main roster. If Hunter plans one expanding NXT, signing the Bullet Club to his brand can be the perfect way to do so.

4 Vince McMahon - Major Survivor Series Main Event

via wwe.com

Some rumors are starting to come out pertaining to possible Survivor Series matches. Thus far, rumored scenarios include Nakamura versus Rey Mysterio, Roman versus Strowman and Asuka versus Charlotte.

All great matches, however, this one rumored matchup definitely stands above others. According to the recent speculation, Vince McMahon has plans for a blockbuster main event featuring Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. This would be one of the biggest main event matches in the history of the show. It can also be Taker’s last ride given he made his debut at the event. We hope Vince things long and hard about this one.

3 Triple H - NXT Expansion

via stubhub.com

As of the fall, this is a strong rumor. As great as NXT is, the brand isn’t profitable and in fact, WWE loses lots of money in the grand scheme of things. However, both Triple H and Vince McMahon are trying to fix this problem. One way to make NXT more profitable would be to expand the company globally.

We’re already seeing a glimpse of that with the UK version of NXT recently making its debut. NXT might be planning for similar hubs in the near future. This will make their talent acquisition that much more aggressive while adding more revenues around the world.

2 Vince McMahon – Major WrestleMania 35 Plans

via wwe.com

Next year’s WrestleMania is going to be a special one amid all the current speculation. A recent story suggests The Undertaker is officially retiring at WrestleMania 35. The rumor also suggests that he’ll be inducted into the Hall of Fame two nights prior to the show. Batista is another rumored name for the HOF and WrestleMania.

Among the other strong WrestleMania rumors; The Rock possibly returning and taking on Roman Reigns. Perhaps the biggest story Vince might be thinking about, HBK versus AJ Styles in a once-in-a-lifetime type of deal. Clearly, WrestleMania 35 is shaping up to be a memorable event.

1 Triple H - NXT Talents To The Main Roster (WWE Talents To NXT?)

via sportzmode.com

For those that aren’t aware, a recent NXT taping got leaked. The show saw various main roster talents on the NXT program. Rollins, Woods, Cesaro, Breeze and Riott all appeared on the show forming a League of Legends team. The entire segment was filmed for the UpUpDownDown series, so don’t get too excited.

As much as Triple H loves talent headed his way, he’ll have to deal with more talent leaving his developmental brand. According to recent news, several NXT stars are set to debut following Survivor Series. Lots of names are rumored; they include Adam Cole, ECIII, Velveteen Dream and Nikki Cross.
