Ding dong. Hello? It's the best Smackdown Women's Champion of all-time, Bayley. The talented female has gone on to become one of the most decorated superstars in all of WWE. With reigns as NXT, Raw, Smackdown, and Women's Tag Team Champion, she was the first women's Grand Slam Champion in history.

After a stellar run in NXT, Bayley's main roster career did stumble. She moved to Smackdown in 2019, won Money in the Bank, and became Smackdown Women's Champion. Her run was good but it wasn't until she lost it and regained it on October 11, 2019, that she truly hit her stride. A year later and she was still champion, delivering some quality matches.

11 Bayley vs. Tamina - Money in the Bank 2020

Bayley punches Tamina

Every few years, it seems like Tamina rises up to a prominent title shot. It happened against Beth Phoenix in 2012, Paige in 2014, and Bayley in 2020. By this point though, nobody bought her as a threat.

The match itself was rather slow and plodding. Sasha Banks assisted Bayley on a few occasions before Bayley put down the veteran and kept her title reign going.

It was the final title defense of Bayley's year as champion. This list does not take any defenses after 10/11/20 into account. Fans had been anticipating this for a long time as Bayley and Sasha Banks were finally going to collide.

Ultimately, this wasn't really much of a match. The whole idea was just to have them brawl and give a non-finish that set up their Hell in a Cell match a few weeks later. Still, it was enough to be better than the Tamina match.

9 Bayley vs. Asuka - Clash of Champions 2020

Bayley charges at Asuka

Originally, Bayley was scheduled to face Nikki Cross at Clash of Champions. It would've been the fourth time that she put up the title against Cross. However, Cross was pulled from the show the day of due to not being medically cleared.

Bayley came out to claim a forfeit win but made the mistake of issuing an open challenge. Raw Women's Champion Asuka answered. The two only got to compete for a few minutes before a vengeful Sasha Banks showed up to assault Bayley with a chair.

8 Bayley vs. Lacey Evans - Royal Rumble 2020

Bayley stomps on Lacey Evans

Lacey Evans has been thrust into some big moments she wasn't ready for. Entering early in the 2019 Women's Royal Rumble led to botches, feuding with the red-hot Becky Lynch was dull, and then being asked to face Bayley as a fresh babyface in front of more than 40,000 fans was a mistake.

Evans had started to nail her heel character in 2019 when she turned face and struggled to adjust. Putting her against Bayley in a huge venue on a big stage proved to be a problem. Their match was clunky and lacked the emotion it needed considering Evans' daughter was at ringside.

7 Bayley vs. Nikki Cross - Smackdown 11/1/19

Bayley wears down Nikki Cross

Bayley won back the Smackdown Women's Championship on 10/11/19. Before dominating most of 2020, she made one title defense in 2019. That ended up being the first of many against Nikki Cross.

This was a fine match and the first on the list to be considered good. It showed that Nikki Cross could be a singles talent and allowed Bayley to let the world know that her villainous side was here to stay.

6 Bayley vs. Nikki Cross - Extreme Rules 2020

Bayley tosses Nikki Cross into the guardrail

Since Bayley had faced Nikki Cross multiple times by this point, she was confident at Extreme Rules. She had beaten her time and time again, so she didn't view Nikki Cross as a legitimate threat, even though she was.

When Nikki Cross kicked out of the Bayley to Belly, the champion realized she was in trouble. So, she got some help from Sasha Banks, using her signature BOSS ring as a weapon to knock out the challenger.

5 Bayley vs. Naomi - Super Showdown 2020

Bayley wears down Naomi

Even if this match wasn't good, it would've benefitted from being historic. After Lacey Evans and Natalya made history by having the first women's match in Saudi Arabia in 2019, Bayley and Naomi upped the ante.

The two ladies competed in the first Women's Title match in the country. Although they had to wear bodysuits and shirts to cover up, they still managed to put on a very good match. Naomi showcased her athleticism and made a spirited run before taking the loss.

4 Bayley vs. Nikki Cross - Smackdown 7/31/20

Since the aforementioned clash at Extreme Rules ended in questionable fashion, Nikki Cross got another opportunity at Bayley. She gave her best effort yet and the two had their best match together.

Given the main event slot, they made the most of it. Nikki brought a ton of energy and tried to overwhelm Bayley with her non-stop barrage of offense. Alexa Bliss equalized Sasha Banks at ringside but Bayley was still able to retain.

3 Bayley vs. Lacey Evans vs. Naomi vs. Sasha Banks vs. Tamina - WrestleMania 36

The Smackdown Women's Title match at WrestleMania 36

Bayley was riding high as champion entering the biggest show of the year. Her cockiness got the best of her as she was pitted against three rivals and her best friend in a multi-woman battle.

Sometimes, these kinds of matches can be a giant mess but thankfully, these women made it work. Bayley and Sasha worked together but there were cracks that showed things might not be great between them. Bayley once again prevailed in the end.

2 Bayley vs. Carmella - Smackdown 2/14/20

Bayley hits Carmella with the Bayley to Belly suplex

This one feels like the definition of a hidden gem since Smackdown made the move to Fox. When Bayley was the champion in NXT, she helped a lot of girls in their first major singles title match, including Carmella. By the time 2020 rolled around, Carmella was a star herself.

She didn't do a ton in 2019 but earned this title opportunity. Carmella gave Bayley her toughest challenge to that point. The former friends went back and forth and Carmella even got her Code of Silence finisher applied. However, Bayley managed to counter into a pin to walk out with the gold.

1 Bayley vs. Asuka - SummerSlam 2020

Bayley chokes Asuka with her foot

To be fair, Bayley and Asuka had their best matches down in NXT. There was also a great non-title outing in 2020. While this wasn't on par with those, it remains the best defense by Bayley during her year as Smackdown Women's Champion.

They opened SummerSlam and Bayley could soften up Asuka before she would face Sasha Banks later in the night for the Raw Women's Title. Bayley's shoulder was targeted, while Asuka's knee was the focus. Asuka was closing in on a win only for Sasha to sacrifice herself for Bayley, opening the door for Bayley to retain. When it came time to return the favor for Sasha later, Bayley didn't do it.
