The women of WWE will make history next weekend at the 31st annual Royal Rumble. That is where 30 women will take part in the first ever Women's Royal Rumble match with a Women's Championship match on the line at WrestleMania. Even though the women of WWE are currently making history, there are a number of women that have been forgotten about over the past few years. They have paved the way for the current crop of women and could easily make an appearance in the Royal Rumble match on January 28th.
Over the past 25 years, there have been a number of women who have come through WWE and made quite the statement, even though these women have since started their own families and been away from the ring for a long time, it is blatantly obvious that they all still have both the passion and physical ability to compete in the sport once again. Not to mention that many of these wrestlers managed to maintain their shape and still look absolutely incredible.
The following list looks at 15 female wrestlers who have either retired or moved on from the wrestling world over the past few years, but have still been able to keep up with their skin care regiments that have allowed them to continue to look like the sexiest women in the world despite no longer being on WWE TV on a weekly basis.
15 Ashley Massaro
Ashley Massaro won the 2005 Raw Diva Search and went on to become one of the main stars of the Women's Division at that time. She was able to team with Trish Stratus and Mickie James on a number of occasions and later even wrestled Melina at WrestleMania after her Playboy cover allowed her to be pushed into the Championship picture.
She requested her release from WWE back in 2008 after it was revealed that her seven-year-old daughter was ill and she needed to look after her full time. Ashley hasn't returned to the ring since but has remained in incredible shape. At 38-years-old, she still looks absolutely stunning and is another woman that could be in the plans when it comes to a WWE return to take part in the Royal Rumble match.
14 Torrie Wilson
Each day is full of a thousand miracles..if you just choose to open your eyes to them you will see. 😇 2 of mine are right here in my arms. ❤️❤️ Don't wait for everything to be as you think it needs to be or you will miss the extraordinary right in front of you. #NothingIsEverPerfect #JustPerfectlyImperfect #AttitudeIsEverything #Gratitude
Torrie Wilson is another woman who walked into WWE without a lot of experience of being a professional wrestler and was still able to make a lengthy career out of it. She is a former two-time Playboy cover girl but was never able to lift gold during her career, even though she was able to wrestle at WrestleMania on numerous occasions.
Torrie seems to have struck gold since her WWE departure and has made headlines all over the world because of who incredible she still looks because of her focus on fitness over the past few years. At 42-years-old, it's quite obvious that Torrie is now in the best shape of her life and could be set for another run in WWE where she is finally able to lift a title.
13 Stephanie McMahon
Stephanie McMahon has been in the public eye ever since she was 14-years-old. The WWE Universe has watched the Billion Dollar Princess grow up before our eyes. Now it seems that many fans find it hard to accept that she is 41-years-old because she still looks absolutely stunning.
Stephanie is the mother of three children and one of the major shareholders of WWE. One of the main things that has allowed Steph to continue to look so incredible is the fact that she still works out on a regular basis. Recent speculation suggests that Stephanie could be fighting old foe Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania, which means that the company obviously still thinks that Stephanie still has it, almost two decades after she was the Women's Champion.
12 Trish Stratus
Happy #internationalyogaday! Namaste y'all 🙏🏼 - Did you know this is the pose I based my logo for Stratusphere on? It's king pigeon pose - but my team and I refer to it as champion pose 😏 - 📸 @paulbuceta - 💄@twochicksandsomelipstick . . . . . . . #championpose #kingpigeonpose #yoga #flexible #poseoftheday #stratusphere
Trish Stratus retired from WWE back in 2006 after almost six years as part of WWE's main roster. Trish came into the company as a gymnast who managed to pick up the technical ability so well that she became a record-setting seven-time Women's Champion twelve years ago, a record that still stands in WWE.
Ever since her departure from the company, Trish has returned to the world of gymnastics and yoga. These could be the main reasons why the mother of two still looks absolutely incredible at 41 years old. It's hard to imagine someone who is considered to be the greatest female wrestler in the world not being part of the biggest moment in the history of women's wrestling next weekend, and it will be fantastic to see Trish back and looking just as stunning as she did more than a decade ago.
11 Beth Phoenix
Beth Phoenix has technically already been in a Royal Rumble match, so she would seem like the obvious woman to call when it comes to next week's show. The former Women's Champion was inducted into the Hall of Fame last year, making her the youngest ever inductee and showed that she has remained in shape and still looks stunning.
Beth Phoenix started a relationship with fellow WWE star Edge after she left WWE and the couple now have two daughters. Despite becoming a mother, Beth has remained just as stunning as she always was and at 37-years-old it's quite obvious that she still has a great future ahead of her when it comes to the wrestling ring. Beth never officially returned, so it will be interesting to see if she is one of the women who make up the field next weekend.
10 Terri Runnels
Many of the WWE Universe will remember Terri Runnels as Marlena when she was part of a team with her real-life husband Goldust throughout the Attitude Era. Terri and Dustin were the two stars that really pushed the envelope at that time and truly established that era as one of the riskiest in the history of the company.
Terri's personal life took over when it was revealed that she had cheated on Goldust and the couple had divorced despite having a child together. Over the past decade, Terri has stayed out of the spotlight as much as she can, but she has been hiding a lot of beauty from the world. Like many other women on this list, she has aged like fine wine and still looks incredible for a 51-year-old.
9 Gail Kim
Gail Kim recently announced that she was hanging up her wrestling boots after decades of being one of the best female wrestlers in the world. Kim had two stints with WWE where she realized that she was never going to be taken seriously. She headed to TNA and decided to make history for herself.
Kim was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame, the first woman to ever go into their class of elite stars, while she is also a record-setting seven-time TNA Knockout's Champion and a former WWE Women's Champion since she managed to win the title in her first match. Gail Kim is now 40-years-old and thinks that it's the perfect time to walk away. She is widely considered to be one of the greatest wrestlers of all time and even though she recently announced her retirement, she is still in the shape of her life.
Ivory was part of WWE at a time when the women weren't taken seriously, but that didn't stop her from attempting to make a statement and prove that she was definitely ahead of her time. Following her WWE retirement, she opened her own dog grooming business and has kept herself away from the spotlight in recent years, even though it could be argued that she could be a good shout for a Hall of Fame induction in the coming years.
The former three-time Women's Champion is now 57-years-old and still looks every bit as stunning as she once did walking down the ramp to the ring. Ivory was never seen as one of the sexiest women in WWE, but when it comes to the ageing process, she has proved that she truly is one of the Best in the World.
7 Stacy Keibler
Stacy Keibler was a female wrestler who was able to walk into the business with a lack of experience in the ring and still become one of the most memorable females of all time. It would be an exaggeration to call Stacy a female wrestler since she didn't really wrestle that much, she was more of a manager or valet and would be part of bikini contests so that she could show off her lengthy, famous legs.
Keibler left the company back in 2006 and went on to pursue a career in the spotlight, which is where she met George Clooney and became part of a public relationship with the Hollywood star. At 38-years -old and more than a decade after she left WWE, Stacy has remained one of the most attractive WWE Divas of all time.
6 Jacqueline Moore
Jacqueline Moore is a former Women's Champion and was able to return to the WWE a few years ago when she was named as the latest inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame. Much like many of the women in that era, Jacqueline wasn't taken seriously as a wrestler, but she was quite a talented star at that time.
Jacqueline was part of some of the biggest women's feuds in the company during her era and didn't actually walk away from WWE until 2004. She then went on to work for TNA for the next decade which saw her become part of Beer Money. Jacqueline is not 54-years-old and many of the WWE Universe have commented over the past few years how incredible she looks for her age. With her return already confirmed for next week on Raw, could Jacqueline be another woman set to be included in the Royal Rumble next weekend?
5 Michelle McCool
Michelle McCool is s former WWE Women's and Divas Champion and someone who decided to walk away from WWE back in 2011, just a year before she gave birth to her daughter Faith. She married WWE legend The Undertaker back in 2010 and even though she has spent the last few years being a mother and a wife, she has still managed to find the time to work out and stay in shape.
Michelle McCool has already been revealed as one of the women who will be on Raw next week and could also be in the Royal Rumble match after rumours have suggested that Michelle was one of the women that WWE reached out to. At 37-years-old, you'd be hard-pressed to find any evidence that suggested that Michelle doesn't still have it.
4 Candice Michelle
Candice Michelle is a former Diva Search contestant and the first women to come into WWE through the annual competition and go on to become the Women's Champion. She is also a former Playboy cover girl and considered to be one of the most attractive female wrestlers of all time.
Candice was released from WWE back in 2009 and has since become both a mother to three beautiful daughters, but also a wife. She returned to the ring back in December so that she could have her final wrestling match at House of Hardcore in Wisconsin where she faced Victoria and proved that she definitely still has it. Candice is 39-years-old and it's a crime that she's retired and won't be returning to WWE anytime soon because she still looks stunning.
Victoria is one of the most underrated female wrestlers of the current generation, not only was she able to become a Women's Champion as part of one of the most competitive Women's Divisions in the world, but she later made the switch over to TNA where she became a Knockout's Champion as well where she was able to redesign her entire character.
Victoria was always the kind of wrestler who relied on being a hard-hitting bad ass, this meant that many of the WWE Universe didn't notice just how beautiful she was. At 46-years-old, Victoria is still in great shape and able to wrestle on a regular basis. She has an incredible workout regime and a return to the ring in WWE has to be in her near future.
Lita along with Trish Stratus was part of one of the most memorable women's feuds in the history of WWE. As a former four-time Women's Champion it could be argued that Lita deserved a better send off from WWE than the one she received at Survivor Series back in 2006.
Lita has remained around WWE since and was the woman who officially unveiled the new Women's Championship at WrestleMania 32 which began the new era in the Women's Division. She later commentated on the historic Mae Young Classic back in the summer. Lita has always been actively part of history and has also shown that she has remained in great shape just in case WWE decide to make that phone call and invite back one of their biggest female legends for one more match.
1 Molly Holly
Molly Holly is probably one of the most popular names that ever made an impact in the Women's Division. She didn't buy into the fact that female wrestlers were supposed to be beautiful and always put her wrestling ability ahead of her looks, even going as far as to put her hair on the line in a match at WrestleMania that saw her have to have her head shaved on live TV.
Holly definitely deserves her place in the WWE Hall of Fame someday, but right now speculation suggests that at 40 years old Molly has been asked to return to WWE for the first time since WrestleMania 25 to be part of the Women's Royal Rumble match. Molly is obviously still in great shape, so it makes sense that WWE would be interested in bringing her back.
