It appears WWE Superstar Becky Lynch isn’t afraid to say what everyone in the WWE Universe is thinking.
For weeks, fans have been watching as three women invaded the WWE main roster and took names as they crashed through the women’s division. It was great storytelling and a fantastic way to debut three new female talents just in time for the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match. The only problem is, WWE did the exact same thing twice on two separate shows just one night after the other. It was almost as if they hoped the WWE Universe wouldn’t notice.
The way both debuts played out was a near shot-for-shot repeat of the debut of Paige, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville on Raw, SmackDown Live introduced Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan to the blue brand. Fans wondered if the two groups were connected seeing as they acted in almost the exact same way week after week.
So, when a fan suggested the Riott Squad could help Lynch battle Absolution at the Royal Rumble, Lynch burned both groups rather quickly with one sentence. “I thought this was the Riott Squad.”

It’s uncertain if either group actually did anything to offend Lynch, but her Tweet calls out the factions and WWE for reproducing an idea so bad that it’s difficult to tell one group from another. After the tweet, fans jumped on board listing all the similarities.
One fan went as far as listing each member and comparing them. Both groups have leaders that are gothic looking (Rudy Riott/Paige), both teams have a designated muscle (Sonya DeVille/Sarah Logan), and both teams have a blonde member (Liv Morgan/ Mandy Rose).
Most of the other comments are fans calling Lynch legendary for her burn and posting .gifs that show people laughing and getting entertainment out of the insult. It will be interesting to see if WWE uses this in any way considering it looks like the Four Horsewomen angle has been dropped.
