Becky Lynch sarcastically responded to a popular female singer for using her catchphrase "The Man" in a recent social media post.

Assuming Taylor Swift knows anything about professional wrestling would be jumping to some pretty big assumptions. Therefore, it only makes sense that when she posted on Twitter, "When you're pretttttttty sure that if you were a man, you'd be the man." that the phrase "The Man" was already spoken for.

Of course, Lynch doesn't own the rights to "The Man" and realistically, she'd have to go through Ric Flair first to get those rights but she's doing her best to make the phrase famous and, in a manner of speaking, Taylor Swift is stealing her thunder.

Lynch saw the tweet and responded, "When you're prettttty sure that Taytay is copying your homework."

Swift was named Billboard's woman of the decade on Thursday night and she took an opportunity while giving her speech to criticize "toxic male privilege" that she believes is prevalent in the music industry. Meanwhile, Lynch has used the phrase as a way to suggest professional wrestling isn't just a man's game and that a woman can be the company's biggest draw or headline a show like WrestleMania.

Lynch Likely Doesn't Have A Real Issue

In reality, Lynch is probably happy Swift is using the phrase because by commenting on it, she can put herself in front of a lot more eyeballs. Swift's post has close to 200K likes already and Lynch would love that kind of audience> Even with Lynch's close to 2 million followers, she pales in comparison to Swift who is following nobody and has 85 million followers.

So really, who is "The Man?". Swift has a pretty strong case to say she is, at least when it comes to an online presence.
