It is very difficult to become a professional wrestler, and it is even more difficult for a wrestler's son to also become a professional wrestler, but most unlikely of all is that father and son fight together in the ring on a professional level.

It sounds really weird, but it's not impossible. Several superstars fought alongside their children, maybe just for a few seconds, and made history. That's why below is the list of the top ten father and son teams that have gone through WWE.

10 Chavo Classic And Chavo Jr.

This was not technically a fight in which father and son fought side by side, but it does count because the collaboration between the two to beat the opponent was evident.

Chavo Guerrero, Jr. was about to be defeated by his opponent, who climbed the ropes to give him the final thrust, but suddenly Chavo Guerrero, Sr. pushed the opponent and he was totally baffled and unprepared, then Chavo, Jr. took advantage of that valuable second, dominated his opponent and emerged victorious after the referee's count.

9 The Rock And Rocky Johnson

At WrestleMania 13, which was played on March 23, 1997, The Rock (known back then as Rocky Maivia) defeated The Sultan, but after the fight, The Sultan and Iron Sheik attacked The Rock. It was then that his father Rocky Johnson entered the action.

The extraordinary wrestler member of the World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Fame did not hesitate to defend his son. Even though they teamed up for just a few fleeting seconds, it was a real treat to see them both together in the ring.

8 Bruno And David Sammartino

Bruno and David Sammartino fought together on several occasions, always leaving 100% in the ring and putting on a real show for fans.

On March 26, 1985, they faced off against Bobby Heenan and Paul Orndorff in Prime Time Wrestling. A month later the Sammartinos fought Johnny V and Brutus Beefcake at Madison Square Garden. And they also fought together on November 16, 1985, in action Championship Wrestling. This wasn't a duo as epic as others, but it's still impossible not to mention them when discussing father-son duos.

7 Larry And Curt Hennig

Curt "Mr. Perfect” Hennig and Larry "The Axe" Hennig formed one of the most formidable father and son couples of the last century. The Hennigs stole the show from the American Wrestling Association. This sensational duo also faced another father and son duo, Verne and Greg Gagne, starring in an epic and unusual battle.

It should be noted that together, Curt and Larry Henning were proclaimed champions of NWA Pacific Northwest. Without a doubt, this was a lethal couple and many would like to bring them back just to see their deadly combinations in the ring.

6 Verne And Greg Gagne

At the age of 59, Verne Gagne got in the ring in cooperative mode with his son Greg, who was 36, to face Nick Bockwinkel and Masa Saito in St. Paul, Minnesota on April 21, 1985. This sensational family duo emerged victorious after a terrific and gripping matchup.

It should be noted that the Gagnes, like the Hennigs, most likely served as inspiration for many families, either to integrate them into the world of wrestling or teaching them how valuable teamwork can be and that family always comes first.

5 Dominik And Rey Mysterio

This image is truly beautiful, Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik applied the 619 to Brock Lesnar. Everyone knows that this movement is the specialty of the Mexican wrestler, but nobody imagined that his son was also very good at it.

Together they made an absolutely perfect 619, precision, speed, and amazing timing to impact Lesnar and send him to sleep. Such a stick, such a splinter, right? Well, this father and son duo does listen to that popular saying.

4 Dustin And Dusty Rhodes

The amazing and powerful Dusty Rhodes teamed up with his son Dustin to take on The Million Dollar Man and Virgil at Royal Rumble 1991. They put on a great show but lost. Still, his family team persisted and emerged victorious from the fight against Bunkhouse Buck and Terry Funk.

Goldust and his father also took to the ring to face the talented Jeff Jarrett and Ric Flair in 2001 on WCW. The Rhodes left with their heads held high, after fabulously fighting as a team and leaving a mark on WWE history.

3 Shane And Vince McMahon

The relationship between Shane and Vince McMahon was quite peculiar, it was like an enmity, to say the least. Despite being father and son, they fought each other as true rivals.

However, at crucial moments they teamed up to defend the McMahon surname. So, it was in Backlash when they defeated Shawn Michaels and "God," later Heartbreak Kid, with the help of Triple H, took his revenge by defeating the McMahons, who perhaps were humiliated, but were humiliated together, as a family.

2 Bob And Randy Orton

On several occasions, Bob Orton helped his son in the ring, at SummerSlam and even a Six-Man Tag Team Match, but one of the most remembered fights is the one where father and son gave The Undertaker a spoonful of their own medicine.

On October 9, 2005, "Cowboy" Bob Orton became involved in the brutal fight between his son Randy and The Undertaker at No Mercy. Randy was about to be buried when Cowboy attacked The Undertaker with a fire extinguisher to save his son.

1 Fritz, Kevin, And Mike Von Erich

Fritz Von Erich had retired after a fairly remarkable career. Nevertheless, Jack Barton Adkisson (Fritz) returned to the ring with his sons, Kevin and Mike, to fight The Fabulous Freebirds.

This was one of the greatest, most remarkable and sentimental fights in the entire history of wrestling because David Von Erich had passed away and his family was fighting in his honor, and they did so in the greatest way. The unique and legendary Von Erichs took the world six-man tag team title.
