10 Christy Hemme

An injury to Lita in 2005 forced her to become a manager for a short time. Lita would become the one-time manager of Christy Hemme training her for a match against Trish Stratus at WrestleMania 21. Hemme had hype from the cover spot of Playboy magazine and WWE wanted her in a big match.

The lack of experience and credibility for Hemme as a singles competitor placed Lita as her manager. It made sense since Lita hated Trish more than anyone at the time. Lita could not help Hemme pull off the win as Stratus retained the Women’s Championship.

9 Danny Doring

The ECW run of Lita saw her playing the character called Miss Congeniality. Lita was the love interest and manager of new star Danny Doring. Paul Heyman saw something special Doring and tried to make him an important of ECW after losing most of their top stars.

The segments with Doring and Lita were often in poor taste meant to get him heat as a heel character. Lita added to the overall act of Doring and his tag team partner, but ECW fans never gravitated towards it they did with better performers.

8 Roadkill

roadkill

Roadkill was the unique tag team partner of Danny Doring also managed by Lita. The talent of Roadkill was a tad stronger than Doring, but it still wasn’t enough to make them a popular act. Roadkill had the backstory of growing up in an Amish community as part of his character.

The high-flying moves of the bigger man did create some nice ovations. Lita rarely interacted with Roadkill and the chemistry wasn’t there. ECW fans may have a soft spot for Roadkill looking back as that was clearly the peak of his career.

7 Essa Rios

Lita got her start in WWE by becoming the manager of Essa Rios. Both talents were new to WWE with the hope of Rios becoming the top light heavyweight. WCW found success adding to their cruiserweight division from the Mexican wrestling scene and WWE tried to replicate there here.

Rios unfortunately never got over with the audience. The popularity of Lita did grow as fans wanted to see her wrestle instead of Essa. WWE eventually split them up and gave Lita a bigger push in the women’s division. Rios struggled to get television time until his eventual release.

6 Christopher Daniels

The start of Lita’s wrestling career came on the independent circuit under the name of Angelica. A few smaller promotions booked her to manage various wrestlers. The one name that stands out the most from her short indies career is Christopher Daniels.

Despite still wrestling today for AEW, Daniels started back in the mid-90s and was a fixture on the independent circuit. Lita managed Daniels on a few occasions in the promotion called Maryland Championship Wrestling as one of her forgotten partnerships before WWE.

5 Randy Orton

The tag team run of Edge and Randy Orton as Rated RKO made them a tremendous act. WWE knew that the two top heels working together would get huge heat. Lita joining them as the manager added even more as all three wrestlers were hated at the time.

Orton would have Lita at ringside during the Rated RKO tag team matches. Fans loved giving them all a hard time. Rated RKO scored their most memorable victories against D-Generation X in the tag matches between four top stars.

4 Kane

Lita was forced into a relationship with Kane in storyline as part of a stipulation. The angle started with Kane as a heel and Lita as a face gaining sympathy from the audience. Kane eventually turned face by changing his actions and being a good husband to Lita.

The run together would see Lita manage Kane for months with a memorable feud against Viscera and Trish Stratus. Lita clearly added to his act until her eventual heel turn. Kane still benefited from that with the unpredictable ending of him becoming the sympathetic figure.

3 Jeff Hardy

The run of Team Xtreme helped Lita become an even bigger star in WWE. Fans loved her risk-taking style in the ring which was a shared bond with Matt and Jeff Hardy. All three wrestlers had similar wrestling characters that worked perfectly together as a trio.

Lita continued to wrestle her matches while still appearing as a manager for the Hardy Boyz. Jeff started getting a few singles opportunities with Lita accompanying him to the ringside area. Lita added to the overall match with interference when needed.

2 Matt Hardy

The romantic relationship between Matt Hardy and Lita allowed them to showcase even more chemistry together on television. Lita always gravitated towards Matt more than Jeff during their time in Team Xtreme since the two were an item.

Matt even had Lita remain his manager during his run as a singles face before the trio eventually all split up. Lita and Matt found even more success together in various mixed tag matches. Despite an ugly end to their relationship, the two will always be linked together.

1 Edge

WWE always viewed Edge as an eventual main eventer, but something always saw him fall short. This was until Lita turned heel on Kane to join Edge as a new couple on television. WWE ran this angle due to the fans already hating the two for their affair in the love triangle gone bad involving Matt Hardy.

Edge would only benefit from having Lita as his manager. The momentum continued growing for Edge to win his first WWE Championship defeating John Cena. Edge remained a main eventer moving forward thanks to the incredible run as a heel main eventer once Lita joined him.
