The 24/7 Championship has only been around for a little over five months now, but it's already played a giant role in the entertainment aspect of WWE programming.
Fans and wrestling pundits didn't know what to expect when Mick Foley first introduced the title. The whole concept seemed cheesy and ridiculous at first, but fans have come to love the 24/7 Championship over time.
It's extremely difficult to keep track of all the 24/7 Championship reigns, especially when R-Truth is winning it back any time a new superstar captures it.
But we took the time to explore all the 24/7 Champions to date. Here are the 10 best title holders thus far.
10 10. Titus O'Neil
WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley introduced the brand new 24/7 Championship on the May 20 episode of Monday Night Raw, and Titus O'Neil made history as the inaugural winner of the new title belt.
O'Neil's place in history is enough to give him a spot on this list. Unfortunately, his title reign didn't last long. Robert Roode came out of nowhere and defeated him moments later to become the new champion. Of course, R-Truth would defeat Roode later that night to become the third 24/7 Champion.
9 9. Sunil Singh
On the Oct. 21 episode of Raw, R-Truth was distracted by Samir Singh backstage. From out of nowhere, Sunil showed up and managed to defeat R-Truth via roll-up pin to win his first Championship in WWE.
Singh only needed to hold the 24/7 Championship for two days in order to reach the sixth-longest reign in the title's young history. That's right. Only five runs with the 24/7 Championship had lasted a week-plus.
8 8. Mike Kanellis
Mike Kanellis first got his hands on the 24/7 Championship when he defeated R-Truth on the July 29 episode of Monday Night Raw. Unfortunately for Mike, his wife wouldn't let him hold it for very long.
Maria demanded that Mike allow her to pin him so she could become the new champion, which he did. A week later, however, Mike pinned Maria during an examination appointment to regain the title.
Mike's second run with the title ended moments later, when R-Truth caught him by surprise (having worn a disguise) to win the Championship. Mike's two 24/7 Championship reigns are tied for the fourth-most, along with Carmella and Jinder Mahal.
7 7. Jinder Mahal
While R-Truth and Carmella were hanging out on a golf course, Jinder Mahal appeared out of nowhere to capture his first 24/7 Championship. However, Carmella was able to distract the new champion - and R-Truth returned the favor with a roll-up pin to regain the title. The two then drove away on a golf cart.
Four days later, Mahal was able to defeat R-Truth at an airport tarmac to win the title a second time. Unfortunately, R-Truth played it smart and pinned Mahal while he was sleeping on a plane ride to once again win back the title.
But hey, only four superstars have more 24/7 Championship reigns than Mahal - which is good enough for him to earn the No. 7 spot.
6 6. Maria Kanellis
As mentioned above, Maria Kanellis became a 24/7 Champion when Mike listened to her demands during the July 29 episode of Raw. Maria managed to hold on to the title for an entire week.
Of course, Maria dropped the title when Mike pinned her at the appointment that we discussed earlier. As of this writing, Maria had the fifth-most combined days with the 24/7 Championship.
5 5. EC3
Fans have been disappointed in WWE's poor usage of EC3, who was a main event star during his time with Impact Wrestling. He hasn't received much of a push yet, but at least EC3 can brag about having four separate 24/7 Championship Reigns.
He first won it on the June 24 episode of Raw, defeating Cedric Alexander. In fact, four different superstars held the title that night - but R-Truth managed to take it away from EC3 before the end of the night.
EC3 won the 24/7 title three times over a two-day span in September. The first one took place on a Sept. 20 house show in Quezon City, Philippines. He and R-Truth proceeded to exchange the title three times at separate house shows over the next two days. As of now, EC3 and Elias are tied for the third-most 24/7 Championship Reigns at four apiece.
4 4. Carmella
Carmella has stood by the side of R-Truth during the majority of his 24/7 Championship reigns, and she's been instrumental in trying to help him regain and retain the title against his many challengers.
But the former SmackDown Women's Champion finally got her hands on the title during the Sept. 23 episode of Raw. She hugged R-Truth in the middle of the reign while he was surrounded by multiple challengers, only to score the roll-up pin to defeat him for her first 24/7 Championship.
However, Marshmello made a surprise appearance at the SmackDown 20th Anniversary show and stole the title from her. She managed to win it back from him later that night when Marshmello attempted to leave the arena. Carmella's 11 total days as 24/7 Champion are the fourth-most.
3 3. Elias
Elias' four 24/7 Championship reigns are tied for third-most, and he also has the most total days with the title (14). As such, it's only fair and fitting that Elias places third on the list here.
Elias' first two 24/7 title runs only lasted a day, as R-Truth defeated him on both occasions. However, Elias won back the title on the Aug. 12 episode of Raw, and he held it for 11 days before losing it to R-Truth.
Fox Sports commentator Rob Stone won it on Aug. 23 during Fox College Football, but Elias won it back later that day. He held the title for three more days before Drake Maverick defeated him.
2 2. Drake Maverick
Drake Maverick became so obsessed with the 24/7 Championship that it even interfered in the early stages of his marriage. The general manager of 205 Live has come away with the title on six separate occasions, the second-most in the history of the 24/7 Championship.
Not only that, but Maverick's 22 combined days as 24/7 Champion are the second-most. He last won it on the Sept. 3 episode of SmackDown Live, only to drop it to R-Truth later that evening.

Who else was going to be No. 1?
The 24/7 Championship may as well be renamed to "The R-Truth Championship," because the title lives and breathes by this man. What else can we say?
Nobody is going to come close to his 20 title reigns (as of this writing). Just when a new 24/7 Champion emerges, R-Truth always arrives out of nowhere to regain the title. He's outsmarted his opponents time and time again, and none of them have been able to defend the title the way he has. R-Truth has brought so much history and relevance to the young 24/7 Championship, and without him, who knows if the belt would still be around?
