Alas, a select set of women have permanently etched their names in the history books. Dominance is often measured by how long they remained at the top of the mountain. Without further ado, here are the 10 most dominant WWE women's champions, ranked.

10 Kairi Sane

Kairi Sane achieved so much in such a short span of time. She first made her mark in the WWE world by defeating Shayna Baszler in the Mae Young Classic. A move to the NXT brand produced a short but significant Women's Championship run before moving onto the red brand in early 2019.

Joining forces with Asuka as the Kabuki Warriors, the duo took a darker turn in pursuit of the tag team titles. They amassed a record 171 day reign which ended at WrestleMania 36. Shortly after the loss, Kairi remained a valuable ally as the Empress of Tomorrow focused on newer goals.

9 Toni Storm

Toni Storm brings with her a deadly arsenal of international wrestling styles to keep opponents down for the count. A loss in the 2017 Mae Young Classic would not deter Storm as she would win the UK Championship tournament a year later. In pursuit of a fresh start, she set her sights on the newest NXT UK brand in late 2018.

At NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool, the Lightning Down Under overcame long-time rival Rhea Ripley to win the brand's illustrious championship. She reigned for most of the year until falling to Kay Lee Ray. Storm would also make a breakout performance at the 2020 Royal Rumble, lasting for over 18 minutes.

8 Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey's dominance in the MMA world fully prepared her for a run with the WWE. She made her official debut with the company at the 2018 Royal Rumble, making her intentions known against Charlotte Flair and Asuka. Her performance in a mixed tag match at WrestleMania 34 was widely praised by critics as she secured the victory.

Later that same year, Rousey squashed Alexa Bliss to win the Raw Women's Championship. She fended off a wide range of opponents to become the second longest reigning champ in the title's history. A loss to Becky Lynch commenced a lengthy hiatus for the "Rowdy" one in 2019.

7 Kay Lee Ray

Kay Lee Ray became an international megastar long before her WWE arrival. She made an initial appearance at NXT TakeOver: Blackpool to pave the way for her in-ring debut in March 2018. A Women's Championship win over Toni Storm cemented her as the first British-born wrestler to hold the title.

Ray would also made appearances for the primary NXT brand, assisting Shayna Baszler on the road to TakeOver: War Games. Her most recent defense took place in a thrilling contest with Storm and Piper Niven. With almost a year-long reign in the books, it's difficult to discredit her talents.

6 Shayna Baszler

Shayna Baszler's grappling styles and exceptional mean streak make her a force to be reckoned with. She remained a fearsome figure in the NXT landscape for years, taking down Ember Moon to win her first women's title. Her first reign was only the beginning of a meteoric rise.

The Queen of Spades would crush Kairi Sane at Evolution to become the first ever two-time NXT Women's Champion. This run proved to be even more fruitful as she embarked on a 416 day run from late 2018-2019. Baszler is currently sending a harsh message to the Raw women's roster by taking on any and all challengers.

5 Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch is a trailblazer who fought against rivals and the WWE itself to become a star. While her NXT run was memorable, it couldn't produce any proper rewards in the long term. Things dramatically changed for the better as she made a move to the primary brands.

The Man would decimate Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women's Championship in late 2018 before setting her sights on Ronda Rousey. A victory at WrestleMania 35 made Becky a dual champion. After losing the SD title, a run with the Raw counterpart became the longest in history.

4 Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss is another example of a performer who achieved larger success on WWE's primary brandsShe would first deter Becky Lynch by winning the SmackDown Women's Championship in 2016, going on to achieve two spectacular reigns. A Raw debut proved to be more of the same as she defeated Bayley for the Raw championship in April.

Bliss notched two extra reigns with the title, one resulting from a successful MITB cash-in. A transition to the tag division alongside Nikki Cross produced even more victories. The latter allowed Bliss to become only the third Women's Triple Crown champion in history.

3 Bayley

Bayley has left nothing but destruction in her wake as one of WWE's most decorated champions. She first acquired the Raw Women's Championship in 2017, attributed to an assist from Sasha Banks. Following a tag team title win and move to SmackDown, audiences witnessed a significant change from the former "Hugger".

The Role Model has resorted to devious tactics to maintain her reign as SmackDown Women's Champion. She would even regain the Women's Tag Team Championships to become a dual titleholder. Heading into SummerSlam, Bayley and Sasha remain the top dogs throughout both brands.

2 Asuka

Asuka looks to create carnage each time she steps in the ring. Her unprecedented run as NXT Women's Champion broke new barriers and set precedents for WWE performances as a whole. While the first half of her main roster run had its ups and downs, her luck managed to improve significantly in the next few years.

She would win the MITB briefcase and the title itself after Becky Lynch vacated it in April. Asuka will do whatever it takes in order to reign supreme.

1 Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair's track record speaks for itself. She became the final titleholder of the Divas Championship in 2015 before becoming the inaugural Raw Women's Champion that following year. The Queen has gone on to become a 12 time champion in the company, inching even closer to her father's record.

Flair would even make a return to the NXT brand in 2020, looking to regain her former prize. She defeated Rhea Ripley in a match for the ages and dominated against newer talent during her 63 day reign.
