WWE has announced Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix will join the commentary team for the Mixed Match Challenge.
WWE will be trying something new when they air the Mixed Match Challenge on Facebook Watch starting Jan. 16, 2017. In an effort to partner with Facebook and reach a more global audience, the company is putting a great deal of time and effort into the program, both for the sake of marketing the product to a much wider audience, but also to potentially create buzz for the company when it comes time to renegotiate a television deal.
Commentators and WWE personalities Renee Young and Byron Saxton posted a video today that explaining a number of the exciting announcements. While both will be part of the program, Michael Cole, and Corey Graves will announce the action as will a former WWE Superstar and now WWE Hall of Famer.

While she’s not done major commentary work for the WWE before, she has some experience in matches where men meet women in the squared circle. Largely known as a competitor who was strong enough to handle either type of opponent, she is also more involved with the WWE since she was added to the Hall of Fame and there are rumors she may make an appearance that this year’s Royal Rumble.
