The Big Show has been part of the WWE for two decades. Right from his debut in 1999 to this day, the world's largest athlete has created a significant impact on the landscape of the company. Big Show has won 18 championships in the WWE throughout his illustrious career including four reigns with the company's top titles.

Big Show has reached legendary status, and his contributions towards the industry will be a motivation for the upcoming new generation of superstars. The 7-footer is inching towards retirement, and if there is one person who would know how to give back to the industry which gave him everything, it's the Big Show.

Big Show would love to hang up his boots by either putting over a new talent or by signing off with a match against one of his old rivals. With that in mind, here are ten superstars who should get the opportunity to retire the world's largest athlete.

10 10. Baron Corbin

Arguably the best heel in the current WWE product, Baron Corbin has all it takes to be the final opponent of the Big Show. It won't be the first time Corbin retired a WWE legend as he did the same with Kurt Angle when he picked up the win against the Olympic Gold Medalist in his farewell match at WrestleMania 35.

Big Show & Corbin have never competed in a one-on-one match so far, but if the 7-footer is looking for a farewell match, the 2019 King of the Ring will be pleased to answer the challenge.

Corbin might not be the strongest heel in WWE, but he got the character to become the company's top villain for the upcoming years. Retiring the Big Show would be a certain boost for his career.

9 9. Shane McMahon

Shane McMahon has become the second coming of his father Vince since turning heel at Fastlane earlier this year. He is portraying the character of a tyrant authority figure to perfection and draws legitimate heel heat from the crowd.

Shane McMahon & the Big Show have competed against each other and have also competed as a team over the years. There is a good history between the two superstars and if WWE looks to elevate Shane as a heel authority figure any further, having him retire the Big Show would be another precious stone in the crown of the Best in the World.

8 8. Drew McIntyre

If WWE looks to have Big Show put over younger talents on his last match, Drew McIntyre would be the person who would reap the most benefits out of it. WWE built McIntyre as the Scottish Psychopath ever since he got called up from NXT in April 2018, but still, he never made it big as he has only held the Raw Tag Team Championships twice until now.

McIntyre is out with an injury, and according to reports he is expected to be back by the Hell in a Cell PPV on October 6. He would need a huge boost once he returns and a potential match against Big Show down the road would give him a lot of momentum.

7 7. Randy Orton

Before the Viper, there was the Legend Killer, and if WWE decides to take the fans on a trip down memory lane, they should have Randy Orton revert to his old persona for one last time by retiring the Big Show.

The last time these two superstars competed against each other was at the October 9, 2018 episode of SmackDown Live where Orton had picked up the win over the 7-footer.

Orton is fresh out of a WWE title feud against Kofi Kingston, and the fact that him being one of the best old rivals of the Big Show, the fans would love to see the Viper retire the world's largest athlete.

6 6. Triple H

When we speak about Big Show’s old rivals, Triple H will take a very prominent spot in the list. The Cerebral Assassin has created problems for the Big Show both as a competitor and as an authority figure which makes it perfect for him to be the 7-footer’s final opponent.

Triple H is making sporadic appearances as of late with his last televised match was against Randy Orton at WWE Super ShowDown earlier this year. Both Triple H & Big Show only has a few matches left in them and looking back at the history between the two superstars Triple H has all it takes to be on the list of superstars who should retire the world’s largest athlete.

5 5. The Miz

The WWE Universe would remember the time when Big Show & The Miz competed as a tag team by the name of "ShoMiz" They went on to win the Unified WWE Tag Team Championships from De-Generation X on the February 8, 2010, episode of Raw and held on to the titles for 77 days.

If Big Show comes out and lays out a challenge for his retirement match, The Miz could answer it based on mutual respect, and the former tag team champions could square off in the ring for one last time with the Miz picking up the win to retire the 7-footer.

4 4. Roman Reigns

The WWE Universe would've lost count of the times when Big Show turned heel throughout his career. If he has one more heel turn in him before hanging up his boots, he has the perfect opponent for him in the "Big Dog" Roman Reigns.

The last time these two superstars went one-on-one was on the November 9, 2015, episode of Raw where Reigns had picked up the win. If Reigns & Big Show ends up on the same brand after the upcoming WWE draft, the chances of these two superstars squaring off against each other are very high.

Reigns went on boasting about retiring the Undertaker for some time after WrestleMania 33, but that was short-lived after the deadman returned to action. Reigns could get another opportunity at retiring a legend if WWE chooses him as the last opponent of the Big Show.

3 3. The Fiend

The Fiend has been taking out WWE legends for the past few weeks starting from Mick Foley to Kane, and it's fitting that he should add Big Show to the list. WWE is on the right track in building up Bray Wyatt as the new face of fear, and he would be a perfect candidate to end the Hall of Fame career of the Big Show.

It doesn't even need to be a match as the Fiend could take out the 7-footer in a prolonged beatdown which could mark Big Show's final moment inside the ring.

2 2. Braun Strowman

Whenever a unique WWE legend announces his retirement, the company would start their hunt for a potential replacement who could match the legend's caliber. They are trying the same with the Fiend over the potential retirement of the Undertaker, and when talking about a replacement for the Big Show, the name Braun Strowman would pop out by default.

Strowman already has a couple of victories over the Big Show, but WWE can have a passing of the torch moment with Strowman being the one to retire the world's largest athlete and cement his legacy as the next major giant in the company.

1 1. John Cena

John Cena has won numerous championships within the WWE, but his first title win came at WrestleMania 20 when he defeated The Big Show for the United States Championship. Cena & Big Show were a part of various feuds over the years including the one time where Show chokeslammed Cena through a spotlight.

If WWE decides to end Big Show's career at the hands of another legend, John Cena would be the perfect choice to do the honors. Big Show's contributions towards the WWE is tremendous, and it's fitting to give him a high profile opponent for his farewell match.
