With less than two weeks until the SmackDown Live only pay-per-view, Clash of Champions, some angles heading into the show needed to be escalated this past Tuesday night. The blue brand certainly did a good job of that. We now know who will be competing in all four of the night's title matches, plus various stipulations were added to pretty much all of them this week. Find out what they were exactly by checking out what the five biggest moments were on Tuesday night's SmackDown Live.
5. Dolph Ziggler Brings A Premature End To Bobby Vs Baron
Baron Corbin will be putting his United States Championship on the line at Clash of Champions against not one, but two other Superstars. Both Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler will have the chance to take down The Lone Wolf, although their dislike for one another may get in the way of them accomplishing that. The Glorious One had the opportunity to pit himself against the US Champ this week, but unfortunately, we are still none the wiser as to who the better man is. Dolph Ziggler was watching at ringside and simply couldn't help himself. The Showoff entered the fray and delivered Zig Zags to both competitors, obviously leading the match to be thrown out.
4. The Lumberjacks Clash Following A Flair Win
"NO ONE is safe when a RIOTT is about to BREAK OUT!" #SDLive #RiottSquad @YaOnlyLivvOnce @RubyRiotWWE @sarahloganwwe @NatByNature @MsCharlotteWWE @LanaWWE @CarmellaWWE @TaminaSnuka pic.twitter.com/Ptvjxtvels— WWE (@WWE) December 6, 2017
With animosity brewing between many of the women on the blue brand's roster, Daniel Bryan saw fit to make the Women's Championship match at Clash of Champions a lumberjack match. Some of those lumberjacks, plus Natalya, were present for Charlotte's match with Tamina on Tuesday night. The champ picked up a relatively easy win before The Riott Squad came to the ring for the feature presentation. The recently defeated Tamina's temper was clearly running high as she threw the first punch, taking out Sarah Logan. The rest of the squad plus the other women who will act as lumberjacks in a week and a half had to drag the two of them apart. Good luck stopping chaos from ensuing between them all at Clash of Champions, Daniel.

3. Aiden English And Rusev Pick Up A Marquee Win
The Usos and The New Day put SmackDown Live's tag team division on the map over the summer via their incredible rivalry. Well, those old rivals will actually renew pleasantries at Clash of Champions, but they'll have company. WWE seem pretty intent on making something of Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable, and the newly formed team will have front row seats to see how it's done as they will also be in the championship match a week from this Sunday. Thanks to a big win for Rusev and Aiden English on Tuesday night, there will now be a team in every corner for that title match. The Bulgarian Brute and The Drama King defeated The New Day and quite rightly that earned them passage into the championship bout on Dec 17, 2017.
2. RKO Outta Nowhere, Triple Check
Last week SmackDown Live culminated in Randy Orton suffering defeat at the hands of Kevin Owens. What was up for debate was if any rules had been broken in the process since Sami Zayn helped KO do so even though he was banned from ring side. Well, Zayn and Owens explained why exactly they didn't break any rules last week in a very patronizing manor, claiming that the area atop the ramp where Zayn helped out his best friend doesn't actually count as ring side. While Zayn was harping on, the wronged Randy Orton appeared out of nowhere and delivered an RKO to Owens. Shane McMahon then joined the festivities and booked two matches—a tag team match between Owens and Zayn vs Orton with a partner of his choice at Clash of Champions, and more pressingly Zayn versus Orton in the main event that very evening with Owens handcuffed to the ring ropes.
1. Nakamura Helps Out Orton
Owens and Zayn did everything they could to try and get Daniel Bryan to reverse Shane's decision to handcuff KO to the ropes during the main event, but they didn't have any luck. Owens had to stand and watch as Orton and Zayn battled it out. That was until he managed to get his hands on a pair of bolt cutters. Even with Kevin free though, Zayn still couldn't pick up the win. The Viper managed to duck an incoming Helluva Kick and roll up his opponent for the win. After the match, the two on one beat down began, but thankfully Shinsuke Nakamura came out to level the odds. With that, we discovered who Randy's tag team partner will be at Clash of Champions and then we found out something else. Shane McMahon will be special guest referee for the bout and if Owens and Zayn lose they will be fired from all of WWE.
