It's No Mercy weekend! The pay-per-view touted as having a card worthy of WrestleMania is finally almost upon us. Whether the entire card is worthy of gracing The Showcase of the Immortals is certainly up for debate, but the night's two main events would definitely not look out of place at WrestleMania. Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman for the Universal Championship and a potential passing of the torch type match as John Cena takes on Roman Reigns. Aside from some great pro wrestling,  we really want to see some twists, and there are some juicy rumors out there that point to exactly that. Here are just a few of the potential things that could happen at No Mercy this Sunday and beyond.

1. A Sasha Banks Heel Turn

via wwe.com

This one feels like it has been a long time coming. As far back as when Bayley won the Women's Championship prior to WrestleMania 33, it has felt like WWE were gearing toward this. Sasha Banks and Bayley are still the best of friends on Monday Night Raw right now, but as is often the case with two people chasing the same championship, friendship can't last forever. Sooner or later, someone has to turn, and that turn will likely be instigated by The Boss. When the two of them feuded in NXT it was Banks who played the heel, and she did a tremendous job. A return to that dynamic is coming, and it may arrive as soon as No Mercy.

2. The Return Of Paige

Sasha Banks' long-awaited turn on her best friend Bayley isn't the only rumor doing the rounds this week when it comes to the Raw Women's Championship match. There is also the not so small matter of a certain two-time Divas' Champion being on the verge of ring ready once again. Paige is looking like she will be back any day now after being away from WWE for well over a year, and No Mercy may be the perfect setting for the Brit to return to the fold. Paige has been attending the Performance Center pretty much every day this week in order to check that she is ready for an in-ring return and if the trainers and doctors okay with it, there's no reason why we can't expect a run in from her on Sunday.

3. John Cena's Leaving Again

via hollywoodreporter.com

WWE has been touting No Mercy as being WrestleMania worthy, and one of the reasons for that is because John Cena and Roman Reigns will square off for the first time ever. Supposedly, having them clash at No Mercy wasn't the company's original plan though. The super match was supposed to be saved for a much bigger event such as WrestleMania or Survivor Series, but because of Cena's hectic schedule that turned out not to be possible, especially since WWE has other things planned for Cena that they want to squeeze in. If the rumor mill is right, then Big Match John will once again ride off into the sunset come No Mercy's close on Sunday night, in which case we are very likely staring down the barrel of a Roman Reigns win.

4. Braun Strowman Is Going To Win

via wwe.com

One thing's for sure, the match between Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman is going to leave a path of destruction in its wake. Since Lesnar returned to WWE in 2012, he has been a dominant force. Aside from his slip up against Goldberg, there has never really been anybody that has felt like a legitimate threat to him until now. The Beast has never encountered anyone like Braun Strowman. If you told fans this time last year that this is the spot The Monster Among Men would be occupying, they would have likely laughed in your face. Not only is Strowman occupying that spot, but there are genuine rumors that The Monster may very well leave No Mercy on Sunday with that Universal Championship.

5. The Undertaker Will Return

via scoopwhoop.com

By far the biggest rumor doing the rounds in the build to this year's No Mercy is this one. Yet again, there is speculation that The Undertaker is not in fact done quite yet. From talk of him training in a WWE ring over SummerSlam weekend to a potential match with John Cena at Survivor Series, the wrestling world is currently rife with reasons why a Taker return is imminent. If it is going to happen, then you would fully expect it to be this Sunday. The man who defeated him at WrestleMania 33 and the one Superstar he's yet to face will be in the same ring together. If he were to appear who he would side with is anyone's guess. What's for certain though, after the ten-minute mark in that Cena vs. Reigns match, everyone is going to be waiting for that signature gong.
