It has been a very busy week in the WWE. The company broke a tag team and one Matt Hardy, a potential main event star might not be considered main event material after all, and a couple of lackeys might be leaving WWE. Amidst all the action that is Raw and SmackDown Live, there is a ton going on behind the scenes.

Rumors this week could drastically change the landscape for a lot of WWE Superstars. They also could alter the outlook of pay-per-views like the Royal Rumble and future shows in WWE's lineup of programming.

So, since everyone's favorite pastime is wrestling rumors and we all have a great time guessing and speculating, here are the Five Biggest WWE Rumors This Week.

5. Singh Brothers Done in WWE

Recently, Jinder Mahal has been seen berating and punishing the Singh Brothers for their lack of success. It could be typical heel character type stuff, but there are also rumors the Singh Brothers may be on their way out of WWE.

Jon Fuentes of eWrestlingNews.com reported that there’s “speculation going around that last night’s segment with Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers was a way to write the pair off WWE TV,” and other sites are reporting that perhaps Mahal has new helpers in mind.

4. Lesnar Off Royal Rumble

via wwe.com

While it's possible he's a part of the Rumble itself, it looks like Brock Lesnar may not be defending the Universal Title at the Royal Rumble in January, that is the Wrestling Observer Radio report is accurate.

Most of this stems from speculation that he doesn't have an opponent. Rumors were Finn Balor was to be that guy, but the WWE has taken him out of that role. They might feel Lesnar is better suited not to wrestle than to have a lesser opponent.

3. Matt Could Be "Broken", But He Won't Be

A recent statement made by Anthem Sports President Ed Nordholm cites that TNA and Impact talent will have the right to use their gimmicks and characters in other promotions after they leave Impact and Anthem. That would mean Matt Hardy owns the trademark to the "Broken" gimmick.

While that's great news for Hardy, it looks like the WWE is not going to go that route. They'll be using shades of his character, but they won't be calling Hardy "Broken".

2. 205 Live Leaving?

via wwe.com

WWE sent a survey to fans asking for feedback on 205 Live. The company wanted to know why fans watched, if they watched, who they liked from the show, and more. Anytime WWE does a survey like this, speculation starts to flow that some kind of change is in the works.  In this case, some are wondering if WWE is planning to move the show or cancel it altogether.

It would be a shame if 205 Live was canceled, but it wouldn't be completely unexpected.

1. Paige In Charge

via wwe.com

It is unknown at this time if Paige is the leader of the females from NXT who were called up and invaded Raw and SmackDown Live, but that is the speculation. A bit of wrench was thrown into that plan when the SmackDown group got a new name and there was no mention of any association to the women from Raw.

It's an odd storyline choice if these women are not connected since the ideas are almost identical.
