Although Billie Kay and Peyton Royce are very close friends, they actually used to be rivals back at Westfields Sports High School in Sydney, Australia. Their rivalry was over who was the biggest wrestling fan, which prevented them from getting along.

She began training before turning 18 and made her in-ring debut on her 18th birthday in a triple threat match against wrestlers Madison and Aurora, which she won.

The IIconics shocked the fans at WrestleMania 35 when they captured the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship which was previously held by inaugural champions Sasha Banks and Bayley. The reason why they were awarded the title was reportedly so that they could feud with and possibly drop the titles to the Bella Twins.

WWE had plans for the two teams to feud over the Tag Team Championship after 'Mania, but the plans were nixed due to Nikki Bella's injuries. That would've been a big feud for The IIconics, so it's really unfortunate that the feud never got to happen.

During an interview, Billie Kay was asked how she came up with her ring name. She revealed that she wanted a gender-neutral name and UK singer Billie Piper made her love the name Billie for a girl.

She added that when she was 18, she wrote a list of names down to use if she ever made it to WWE and Billie was always the first one. Her last name, Kay, is derived from her actual surname McKay.

As previously mentioned, Billie Kay was recently released from her WWE contract, which means that she won't be able to use the ring name anymore since the company owns the right to "Billie Kay."

On April 23, she reportedly filed a trademark on her real name Jessie McKay. The trademark was filed for wrestling and merchandising purposes. She used to wrestle under that ring name before joining WWE.
