Since coming over from NXT to join the main event roster, WWE superstar Jason Jordan has struggled to get over with the fans. Despite being portrayed as Kurt Angle's storyline son (and a babyface), Jordan's early WWE career can be considered a disappointment.
“I’m not a huge fan of Jason Jordan or anything like that. I’m not going to hate on him or anything like that, opportunities in this business are few and far between...To me, he has not proved himself to be a top guy... I don’t see one sign in the audience that says Jason Jordan is ‘my guy.’ If you ain’t got no signs out there, it tells me one thing; you ain’t that hot or people just don’t care about you. Right now, Jason Jordan is lukewarm.”
Those are strong words from Booker T, but many seem to share his opinion. Jordan has often been met with boos, and fans were cheering and chanted "thank you" to Bray Wyatt for injuring him on this week's episode of Raw.
In storyline, Jordan was pulled from Team Raw at Survivor Series and subsequently replaced with Triple H. Though details aren't clear on the motive for the writers to change it last minute, it's possible that they didn't see Jordan as a big enough name to represent his brand.
Despite plenty of hype from is "father" and displaying tremendous wrestling abilities, Jordan's lack of microphone skills appear to be the reason fans aren't sold on him right now. Booker T gets a close-up look of Jordan every week, and has made it clear that he doesn't see this guy as a main star.
It's nothing different to see WWE legends voice their concerns over the ability of current superstars. For Jordan, he has to take Booker T's words to heart and continue working towards the top of the card.
