Braun Strowman took to social media in order to give props to Big Show after their hard hitting cage match this week on Raw.

This past Monday on Raw we were treated to a huge main event, both literally and figuratively. Braun Strowman and Big Show clashed inside a steel cage which was the third time the two giant men have met in a match. The last time these two closed out Raw, a superplex from the Monster Among Men on Show caused the ring to collapse, so naturally, expectations were high for their rematch this week.

There was no danger of the ring collapsing this week, not only were we constantly reassured by the announcers that the squared circle had been doubly reinforced, but Strowman actually repeated the incredible feat of strength that had broken the ring the last time, and this time it survived. We also bore witness to Show delivering a diving elbow to Braun, and after the match, the veteran was thrown through the cage wall by the victor.

All in all, it was a pretty great ending to an otherwise mundane Raw. Fans may forget that Strowman is still extremely young in the business. He has come an awfully long way in the past two years, and following his win on Monday, he posted his gratitude to Big Show for helping him get to where he is today with their tremendous series of bouts on Instagram. In the post, Strowman said that he tipped his hat to Show as well as saying "you brought the fight to me every time and have pushed me to dig deeper and deeper to find a way to beat you."

The idea behind the cage match on Monday night was to build anticipation towards Strowman's Universal Championship match with Brock Lesnar at No Mercy. Strowman man-handled The Beast at SummerSlam and then again the night after on Raw and it could now only be a matter of time before he slays the Universal Champion. In a little over two weeks time, we'll find out.

The way that Braun Strowman has been built up means there aren't many Superstars on the roster who can give him legitimate and believable matches. Despite his age, Big Show has more than proven that he is one of those Superstars. You wouldn't think that men of their size could produce the matches have done over the past few months, but they have and they deserve all the plaudits coming their way.
