Braun Strowman's time in WWE unexpectedly ended in the latest string of releases on June 2, 2021. There has been a plethora of talent that has been released by WWE in 2021 but none bigger than Braun Strowman. The Monster Among Men had a successful career in WWE by winning the Universal Championship, Intercontinental Championship, and multiple Raw Tag Team Championship reigns.
Strowman was initially a member of The Wyatt Family when he joined WWE, and there is no denying that there have been many ups and downs in his career. Nevertheless, Strowman shed a ton of weight, and his in-ring performances improved drastically. His final 10 matches in a WWE ring were a mixture of some of the best and worst matches that he produced.
10 Braun Strowman Vs. Jaxson Ryker - Raw 3/29/21
Braun Strowman engaged in a rivalry with Shane McMahon, and on the March 29, 2021, edition of Raw he squared off with Jaxson Ryker. Ryker didn't come to ringside alone as Shane O'Mac and Elias gave him moral support in his corner.
The match was atrocious, and Shane and Elias kept on going onto the apron to distract Strowman. Moreover, Ryker benefitted from distractions but Strowman regrouped and inevitably prevailed.
9 Braun Strowman Vs. Jaxson Ryker & Elias - Raw 4/5/21
The go-home episode of Raw heading into WrestleMania 37 saw Braun Strowman clash with Jaxson Ryker, and Elias who was looking to soften up Strowman before he collided with Shane McMahon in a steel cage match at 'Mania.
Ryker and Elias worked as a cohesive unit, and they simultaneously covered Strowman at one point but The Monster Among Men powered his way through them. The match was simply a waste of time but Strowman headed into WrestleMania with the all-important victory.
8 Braun Strowman Vs. Mace & T-Bar - Raw 4/26/21
The faction Retribution was no more but T-Bar and Mace continued their partnership and wreaked havoc on the Raw roster. Braun Strowman stood up to both men, and they clashed in a two-on-one handicap match on the April 26, 2021 edition of Raw.
It was Strowman's first of three matches in one night, and by far the worst of the three. In fairness to Strowman, he did dominate at the start of the match but T-Bar and Mace got themselves intentionally disqualified when they attacked Strowman.
7 Braun Strowman & Drew McIntyre Vs. Mace & T-Bar - Raw 4/19/21
Two former World Champions in Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre formed a powerhouse tag team to go head-to-head with Mace and T-Bar. The Scottish Psychopath faced the destructive duo in a handicap match but Strowman evened up the odds to make it a tag team match.
Mace and T-Bar had a stranglehold for the majority of the match. However, McIntyre ripped Mace's mask off, and he nailed him with it, which got himself and Strowman disqualified. Moreover, Strowman pulled off T-Bar's mask after the match in a forgettable bout.
6 Braun Strowman & Drew McIntyre Vs. Mace & T-Bar - Raw 4/26/21
For the second successive week, Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre collided with Mace and T-Bar in another hard-hitting tag team match. The Monster Among Men crashed into the steel ring post when he tagged himself into the match, and he was looking to aid McIntyre.
However, all four battled on the outside and all hell broke loose. McIntyre accidentally clotheslined Strowman but T-Bar moved out of the way, and it proved to be a costly error as they lost to Mace and T-Bar once again, but this time, they were counted out.
5 Braun Strowman Vs. Randy Orton Vs. Drew McIntyre - Raw 4/12/21
Opportunity knocked for Braun Strowman, Randy Orton, and Drew McIntyre on the first Raw after WrestleMania 37 as the winner would face Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania Backlash. Nonetheless, McIntyre and Orton were bitter enemies but they formed a brief alliance by ganging up on Strowman.
The former Universal Champion eventually escaped their clutches, and he inflicted punishment on both men by attacking them with steel steps. Furthermore, The Viper was closing in on victory as he nailed Strowman with his patented RKO but McIntyre nailed Orton with a Claymore Kick, and he pinned Strowman for the win.
4 Braun Strowman Vs. Bobby Lashley - Raw 5/3/21
The May 3rd, 2021 episode of Raw ended up being Braun Strowman's final match on the red brand. It was not a bad way for Strowman to end his career on Raw as he collided with the reigning WWE Champion Bobby Lashley in a non-title bout.
As expected, neither man pulled any punches in this physical match. Drew McIntyre wanted a closer look at the action, and he made his way to the ring to join the commentary desk. They had a decent encounter but Lashley pushed Strowman into McIntyre, and it proved to be decisive with Lashley victorious with a devastating Spear.
3 Braun Strowman Vs. Shane McMahon - WrestleMania 37
At WrestleMania 37, Braun Strowman finally got the chance to hand Shane McMahon his comeuppance inside a solid steel cage. Shane O'Mac was isolated on his own although Jaxson Ryker and Elias made their presence felt at ringside.
This was never going to be a five-star epic but it was a fun match, and both men delivered a competitive match. Shane had some offense but Strowman looked like a monster, and he ripped a part of the cage and threw Shane off the top of the cage. Shane is not one to shy away from taking brutal bumps. But in the end, Strowman was victorious in his final WrestleMania outing.
2 Braun Strowman Vs. Drew McIntyre - Raw 4/26/21
Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre finally settled their differences in Strowman's third match of the night. However, it was a high-stakes match as The Monster Among Men would be added to the WWE Championship at WrestleMania Backlash if he could defeat McIntyre.
They hit a home run in one of the best matches on Raw in 2021. Strowman looked believable, and he countered McIntyre's Claymore Kick with a powerbomb. Moreover, McIntyre's Future Shock DDT almost sealed the deal but Lashley and MVP stood on the ring apron. Mace and T-Bar got themselves in this match, and chaos ensued but Strowman stood tall with his Running Powerslam finishing maneuver.
1 Braun Strowman Vs. Bobby Lashley Vs. Drew McIntyre - WrestleMania Backlash
It's crazy to think Braun Strowman's final match in a WWE ring was contesting for Bobby Lashley's WWE Championship. Drew McIntyre was the third party involved in this outstanding triple threat match at WrestleMania Backlash.
Triple threat matches can be hit and miss but this one certainly exceeded all expectations. McIntyre and Lashley formed an unlikely cohesive unit to keep Strowman at bay. The former Universal Champion was in a prime position to add the WWE Title to his mantlepiece when he put McIntyre through the announce table but it was not meant to be as Lashley retained the WWE Title in a war of attrition.
