Major Championship Dark Match Takes Place After 205 Live

The fans in attendance for 205 Live in Philadelphia were given a special treat at the end, with two major dark matches taking place after the broadcast.

Per WrestlingInc.com, Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt squared off for the Universal Championship - nine days ahead of their Survivor Series showdown. Unsurprisingly, The Fiend defeated Bryan via pinfall to retain his title after using the Mandible Claw and Sister Abigail.

Fans in attendance shared photos of the event, which you can see below:

Another dark match saw Roman Reigns defeat Baron Corbin, who mocked him as the big dog during a segment in last night's episode of SmackDown Live. Reigns and Corbin will be forced to put their beef aside at Survivor Series, as both are members of Team Smackdown in the 5-on-5 match vs. Team Raw.

Wyatt attacked Bryan backstage with the Mandible Claw during last week's episode of SmackDown. Yesterday, Bryan appeared on Miz TV and challenged Wyatt to a championship showdown at Survivor Series, which The Fiend happily accepted.

It should be noted that the Wyatt-Bryan feud is unlikely to last long. The former is advertised to defend his title against The Miz in a steel cage match at the Nov. 30 show in Mexico City. In fact, the buildup for their match was supposed to take place two weeks ago, but WWE had to switch things up when an airplane mechanical issue in Saudi Arabia forced most superstars to miss SmackDown.

Bryan Vs. Wyatt Won't Disappoint

Even if the Bryan-Wyatt feud doesn't last long, the match at Survivor Series should be a true classic. It'll feature a top-tier main eventer in Bryan and The Fiend, who's unquestionably the top heel in WWE right now. This has all the makings to go down as one of the greatest in Survivor Series history, plain and simple.
