Throughout his wrestling career, Bray Wyatt has shown himself to be one of the most creative minds in the history of the business. From the moment he first debuted, Wyatt proved that he was able to offer something that others weren't, and that is something that has served him well throughout his career.

However, while he's had a lot of creatively brilliant moments, his booking in the ring hasn't always been the most consistent. Because of that, he's actually had a real rollercoaster of a career full of amazing highs, and incredible lows, but thankfully, his talent has always managed to shine through and prevail.

12 2009 (The Development Year)

2009 was Bray Wyatt's rookie year in the industry, therefore it's no surprise that it was his worst. A large chunk of this year for him was spent working in WWE's developmental system, which was FCW at the time, which didn't get many eyes on it, unlike NXT does today.

He and his brother Bo Dallas did earn the FCW Tag Team Championships but that was really his only highlight worth mentioning.

11 2011 (Return To FCW)

Axel Mulligan

After a spell on the main roster, Bray Wyatt was handed his first blow as he was demoted back down to developmental. With WWE not having anything for him, this was certainly a learning experience for Wyatt.

He returned to FCW and started working as Axel Mulligan, where he'd wear a hockey mask which began to show Bray's ability to pull off a darker character. Throughout this period he had some impressive matches with the likes of Dean Ambrose and Cesaro, but it was clearly still a learning phase for him.

10 2010 (Nexus)

Husky Harris Nexus

Following his stint on season two of NXT's game show, Wyatt was actually brought up to the main roster as a member of the Nexus faction. He and Michael McGillicutty were new members of the group, which was meant to inject new life into Wade Barrett's faction, but it didn't exactly do that.

WWE's poor booking of Nexus had already done enough damage to this faction. In the end, CM Punk took over the group, with Harris being a part of it until Punk's feud with Randy Orton when he was punt kicked and written off the television. While Harris was involved in everything the group did, he was never one of the standout members.

9 2012 (The Birth Of The Wyatt Family)

Bray Wyatt NXT

2012 was a mixed year for Bray Wyatt, seeing part of the year take place in FCW, and the other in the newly created NXT. This is where he first debuted the Bray Wyatt character and began working alongside Luke Harper and Erick Rowan.

While they were never in the main event title scene on NXT, the Wyatt Family faction certainly made their impression. Bray's promos and incredible charisma were a huge part of the show and this was certainly the start of something big for him.

8 2015 (Battling A Deadman)

Undertaker vs Bray Wyatt WrestleMania 31

2015 saw a mixed bag for Bray Wyatt. He was given a lot of major storylines and big PPV matches which made his character look great, but in the ring, he often failed to get the job done, which had a damaging effect on him and the fans' ability to buy into his matches.

Wyatt worked with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 31 and had a lengthy feud against Roman Reigns as well this year. Bray also added Braun Strowman to his faction at the end of the year, feuding with ECW legends, which was a very entertaining angle.

7 2018 (The Eater Of Worlds)

Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy

2018 started properly for Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 34 when he helped Matt Hardy win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. From there, the two men formed a unique tag team which was a lot of fun to watch.

Their gimmicks were over the top, but their commitment made this run work as they earned the Raw Tag Team Championships. Sadly, after Hardy got injured, Wyatt also took a long break from television, but that set up something even better when he returned.

6 2016 (The New Wyatt Family)

Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt SmackDown Tag Team Champion

The WWE Draft worked out brilliantly for Bray Wyatt as he went to SmackDown and was instantly elevated once again. The land of opportunities rang true and Wyatt was treated like a big star, but also booked like one in the ring.

The Wyatt Family had a really enjoyable storyline with New Day within this year, but it was when Wyatt started working with Randy Orton that people got excited. The story work was brilliant here, bringing the Viper into his group, adding a new layer to their faction.

5 2014 (Feuds With John Cena/The Shield)

Bray Wyatt vs John Cena at Wrestlemania 30

Because the Wyatt Family was being booked so strong, WWE pushed Bray into a WrestleMania feud with John Cena. However, this was the first misstep with him, because Cena won the match and dominated their feud, which really took away from Wyatt's star power. But, it was a major step still for Bray, and being in such a high profile story was good for him.

He then bumbled along with various forgettable feuds against the likes of Chris Jericho and he even let Harper and Rowan go for a brief period. Thankfully, this year also saw the Wyatt Family have their epic six-man matches with The Shield, which were incredible.

4 2013 (Wyatt Family Hits The Main Roster)

Bray Wyatt vs Kane Summerslam 2013

2013 was certainly an exciting year for Bray Wyatt, as this was when he and his Wyatt Family faction debuted on the main roster. They were treated like a massive deal and instantly feuded with Kane, working an Inferno match with the WWE legend.

The group also had a big rivalry with CM Punk and Daniel Bryan, who were the top stars at the time, and they were protected heavily in the booking. Because of that, they were able to have a lot of success, which made them feel like the next big stars of WWE.

3 2017 (WWE Champion)

Bray Wyatt

2017 started with a bang for Bray Wyatt as he finally became WWE Champion. Wyatt won the title inside the Elimination Chamber and hit the level fans expected. He then started a brilliant storyline with Randy Orton, and while their matches were quite disappointing, the story itself was very engaging.

It was a huge push for him, but it wasn't something that he sustained. The second half of the year fell flat for Bray until the very end when he began working against Matt Hardy as they pushed each other and their darker characters. However, seeing him get to the main event spot as World Champion made this an amazing year for him.

2 2019 (Welcome To The Funhouse)

The Fiend

2019 saw Bray Wyatt return to WWE after a lengthy break, and he did so with a totally different character. This was a massive change and a much-needed one as well, bringing in a split personality from his happy, Firefly Funhouse Bray Wyatt to the dark Fiend character.

It was an amazing change that was genuinely scary, and Bray fully committed to both sides of the coin. His work was incredible and he was easily the top star in the company at the time, which is why he was quickly pushed to become the Universal Champion.

1 2020 (The Fiend & Alexa Bliss)

Alexa Bliss

While 2019 was a brilliant year for Bray Wyatt with his new character, 2020 took things to a new level. Even though the year started out as a disaster, being defeated by Goldberg, things quickly picked up. A WrestleMania feud (which he won) against John Cena quickly put his character back on track.

From there, Wyatt hasn't looked back. Feuding with the likes of Braun Strowman and Randy Orton, Wyatt's dual personalities have been a lot of fun to watch. Plus, he has now added Alexa Bliss to the character, which has created a new dynamic that is wildly entertaining. He's being protected with smart booking, and Bray is certainly making the most of every opportunity.
