WWE icon Bret Hart announced a year ago that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. But after an incredible wrestling career that spanned over two decades, it appears as though Hart's greatest victory was accomplished today.

Per multiple reports, Hart has announced that he his now cancer-free. Hart said that being diagnosed early gave him a head start to train in the gym and recover.

This is obviously great news for Hart, his family, friends and fans. He's endured plenty of personal tragedies. At the Over the Edge pay-per-view event in 1999, his brother Owen died in an accident after trying to perform a stunt from the rafters.

Hart also suffered a stroke in 2002, but made a full recovery.

Here's hoping he can stay healthy for the long run.
