Brock Lesnar opened Friday's SmackDown with a jaw-dropping decision that likely teases the future of Bray Wyatt in WWE as Universal Champion.

The common question to come out of WWE Crown Jewel on Thursday was, 'How would WWE proceed with Bray Wyatt now the Universal Champion and a Superstar on the SmackDown brand?' The answer appears to be that Brock Lesnar will move to Raw.

Opening Friday's SmackDown show, Lesnar was able to make it out of Saudi Arabia to talk his match-up at Crown Jewel and Rey Mysterio attacking him with a chair. Paul Heyman spoke as the advocate for Lesnar and said that in order to seek retribution on Mysterio and with the new rules that SmackDown stars could not appear on Raw, Lesnar was quitting SmackDown, effective immediately.

Heyman bragged there was nothing WWE could do about it, Lesnar and Heyman left, he walked out the arena and fans were told Lesnar would be on Raw this coming Monday to hunt Mysterio.

That Answers That

With Wyatt's future uncertain, WWE seems to have decided that Wyatt will come to SmackDown as the Universal Champion and the WWE Champion will go to Raw. It will look odd to see a red belt on a blue brand, but this could also hint that WWE plans to change the look of the Universal Title to match the show.

This is a decision that seems to make sense but could all change as the story unfolds. The promo seemed to hint that Heyman dare Vince and WWE to do something about their decision and with Wyatt advertised to face Seth Rollins on Monday, who knows what could transpire over the next 72 hours?

The segment was a huge announcement to start SmackDown and without most of the roster able to attend the show, there are likely more surprises to come.
