Two big-name WWE Superstars who have been away were spotted at WWE’s main offices on Thursday. Does this hint their returns are imminent?

Both Cain Velasquez and Ronda Rousey have been away from WWE programming for some time. Rousey’s absence was expected as she left after losing her Raw Women’s Championship to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 35. Velasquez’s lengthy time away, on the other hand, wasn’t necessarily expected. While he had some knee issues looked at, he’s been rumored to return to WWE a couple of times after his brief program with Brock Lesnar. That said, speculation he’s still working on improving his in-ring work has kept him away. He’s been spotted recently  at the WWE Performance Center.

Thursday, Velasquez paid a visit to WWE Headquarters and ran into Rousey who also happened to be there. He took a photo and tweeted his run-in with the former UFC Women’s Champ. He wrote, “Had the pleasure of running into the pioneer that definitely also inspired my interest in the sport.”

Of course, while both could be at WWE’s offices doing other things, this time of year leads to all sorts of speculation. With WrestleMania 36 right around the corner and WrestleMania Monday the night after where a number of returns often happen, both could be ready to return. Rousey wasn’t rumored to be at WrestleMania this year but buzz is that things could change and that she’ll make an appearance.

What Would Both Do?

Velasquez’s future is very much up in the air considering his feud with Lesnar was short-lived. But, his quick loss suggests he’s got a score to settle. As for Rousey, it makes the most sense to have her work a program with her good friend Shayna Baszler or come after Lynch’s title should Lynch escape WrestleMania with the championship.

WWE gearing up for the biggest show of the year always leads to a ton of rumors about who might appear. These would be among the two biggest possible options.
