Carmella Says She Received Death Threats After Being Accused Of Destroying Corey Graves' Marriage

SmackDown's Carmella confirmed her relationship with WWE announcer Corey Graves during the newest episode of Total Divas.

Speaking to Sonya Deville, the 31-year-old revealed she was on the receiving end of abuse from fans accusing her of destroying Graves' marriage, and wrongfully so.

The rumors stemmed from Graves' wife Amy Polinsky accused him of cheating on her with Carmella in an Instagram post that has since been deleted. Carmella says Graves was already going through a divorce when she started dating him and never did anything wrong.

“When Corey and I started dating, he was already going through a divorce and he’d moved out,” she said, opening up on her relationship with the former wrestler. “He has his own place. She has hers. Man, I mean, there’s really nothing else to say about it.

“I always follow the rules. I never f**king do anything wrong. I’m very like, by the book. I even had anxiety [at] the thought of even entertaining the idea of dating him.”

Corey would reveal that he was going through a divorce with Amy in the wake of her putting the accusatory post online, adding that it was sent out at a particularly dramatic period. However, the damage was already done by then and Carmella says she received lots of abuse, even death threats.

“I’m uncomfortable. I feel like everyone is staring at me. I feel like everyone is judging me,” she added. “It’s just crazy that they’re coming after me and for him, it’s like, ‘Oh! Cool! Corey Graves got with Carmella. Good for him.

“It’s like the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with. I don’t even know how to deal with it because I’ve never been through anything like this. All I know is like, I love him and he loves me and we’re happy and I didn’t do anything wrong.”

Death Threats Are Never Cool

It would appear that Carmella was indeed wrongfully accused, given the timing of it all. But whether or not she did anything wrong, death threats are never cool.

The heat has since died down, fortunately. Let's hope Corey and Carmella could just enjoy their relationship like two regular people.
