Professional Wrestling has featured athletes from different backgrounds, whether it's football, basketball, baseball, and even Mixed Martial Arts. Therefore, it is quite common to see celebrity appearances of athletes from different sports. Besides, celebrities from sports, it's also normal to see appearances of mainstream celebrities like movie stars, singers, etc. As a matter of fact, some celebrities have also wrestled in the ring, especially with athletic backgrounds.

Celebrity appearance certainly gives a mainstream spotlight to a product. Celebrities have wrestled in promotions like WWE, WCW, TNA, and AEW. While most celebrities wear unique ring gear if they wrestle, some wrestling attires have been awful as well.

10 Snooki (WrestleMania 27)

Snooki Trish Stratus and John Morrison at WrestleMania 27

Snooki is a popular reality TV star, who is one of the primary characters of the MTV show Jersey Shore. When Jersey Shore was at the peak of its popularity in the early 2010s, WWE decided to approach her for a couple of guest appearances.

While Snooki was a guest hostess on RAW, she also competed at WrestleMania 27. Teaming up with John Morrison and Trish Stratus, she participated in a Mixed Tag Team match. Snooki gave a decent performance, but the ring gear didn't look like a wrestler. She wore a headband, black shorts, and a black top, making her look like she was on Jersey Shore, not in a WWE ring.

9 Bad Bunny (WrestleMania 37)

BAD BUNNY AT WM 37

Bad Bunny was the latest celebrity performance on The Grandest Stage of Them All. Even before WrestleMania 37, Bad Bunny kept making regular appearances on weekly shows and even won the 24/7 Title once.

The Latin musician tore the house down with his astounding performance at WrestleMania 37. Even though his entrance was nothing short of spectacular, his wrestling gear was risible. He wore a full sleeve black t-shirt with black pants and black gloves. It was certainly not a WrestleMania-worthy ring gear.

8 Jay Leno (Road Wild 1998)

Jay Leno & Diamond Dallas Page

1998 was probably the best year in the history of WCW, so it had several celebrity appearances to catch more mainstream attention. The host of The Tonight Show, Jay Leno, made his presence felt at Road Wild '98, and he was part of the main event.

Diamond Dallas Page and Jay Leno beat Hollywood Hogan and Eric Bischoff in a tag team match. But Leno, who was in his late 40s, didn't look match-ready. He wore a casual blue t-shirt, which made him look like a referee.

7 Ronnie Ortiz Magro (TNA)

Ronnie TNA Impact

Another Jersey Shore star, Ronnie, stepped foot in the ring back in late 2011. The reality star made a brief appearance in TNA and even wrestled in a tag team match after teaming up with Eric Young. Ronnie and Young defeated the team of Robbie E and Robbie T.

He didn't do much in that match, as Eric Young carried it. However, his wrestling attire was ridiculous. He wrestled wearing a t-shirt and jeans. It made him look like he was on an episode of Jersey Shore instead of TNA Impact.

6 Akebono (WrestleMania 21)

Big Show Vs Akebono WrestleMania 21

Akenobo was a professional wrestler, but he was also famous for being a Sumo wrestler. He had a brief stint in WWE back in 2005, and he competed in a match at WrestleMania 21.

Being a heavyweight Sumo wrestler, he faced the most gigantic man in WWE, Big Show.

Their Sumo match lasted nearly a minute, and Akebono won the match. However, watching Sumo wrestling gear in WWE was certainly strange. Besides Akebono, Big Show also looked ridiculous in sumo attire.

5 Will Sasso (WCW Nitro, February 2, 1999)

WILL SASSO AND BRET HART IN WCW

Before Will Sasso impersonated Stone Cold Steve Austin on SmackDown in 2002, he also made an appearance on WCW Nitro in 1999. The MADtv actor even went on to have a match with none other than Bret Hart.

While the match was terrible, Sasso's ring gear looked equally bad. He wore an oversized t-shirt and basketball shorts. As expected, Hart humiliated Sasso and won the bout.

4 Floyd Mayweather (WrestleMania 24)

FLOYD MAYWETHER VS BIG SHOW

Floyd Mayweather's most notable WWE appearance was in 2008 when he wrestled at WrestleMania 24. The undefeated boxer collided with The Big Show, who was more than double his size.

Despite the odds, "Money" Mayweather gave a stellar performance and won the bout. But his wrestling gear looked bad with oversized grey and black pants. Even though he was a boxer, he wore MMA-style gloves in the ring.

3 Lawrence Taylor (WrestleMania XI)

LAWRENCE TAYLOR AT WRESTLEMANIA

Lawrence Taylor, the New York Giants legend and a two-time Superbowl winner, took part in WWE back in 1995. As a matter of fact, Lawrence Taylor main-evented WrestleMania XI, where he defeated Bam Bam Bigelow.

While the match was good, the wrestling attire of Lawrence Taylor was ridiculous. Since he was a football player, he wore a football jersey in the wrestling ring. The gear made him look like he was in a football match, not in a wrestling match.

2 Drew Carey (WWE Royal Rumble 2001)

KANE AND DREW CAREY ARE FACE TO FACE IN WWE

The fans have witnessed surprising appearances in Royal Rumble matches, including celebrity appearances. One such celebrity appearance took place at Royal Rumble 2001. The renowned comedian Drew Carey entered the match from the fifth spot.

After lasting less than three minutes, he eliminated himself from the match. But his attire was derisive. Obviously, he was out of shape to be in the ring and wore a black jacket with a black tracksuit. On top of it, he wore his regular glasses in the ring while in the match.

1 Mike Tyson (RAW, May 5, 2010)

MIKE TYSON IN RAW 2010

Mike Tyson made numerous appearances in WWE, most notably at WrestleMania XIV. But more than a decade later, Mike Tyson appeared as a special guest host on the red brand in 2010. He also wrestled in a tag team match against DX.

However, Mike Tyson was retired as a boxer in 2010, and he wasn't in great shape. Before revealing his original DX t-shirt and betraying his tag-team partner, Chris Jericho, Tyson wore an oversized black t-shirt and black pants to wrestle. Given he was a boxer, the ring attire was certainly ridiculous.
