Cesaro is one of the most underrated wrestlers on the current WWE roster, despite the fact that the WWE Universe knows exactly how talented he is, the Swiss Cyborg has always been just short of the main event scene.

While he has had reigns with the United States and Tag Team Titles throughout his career, Cesaro isn't treated as one of the top stars in the company, despite the fact he has all the natural talent to fill that role.

Considering Finn Balor's recent move back to NXT, there has been a big debate about whether or not Cesaro should follow in his footsteps and within this article, we will continue that debate.

10 NXT: Dream Matches

While there is plenty of people fans would love to see Cesaro wrestle on the main roster, there is even more in NXT, with tons of dream matches against the likes of Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano, and Matt Riddle waiting.

NXT is known for its focus on wrestling and therefore Cesaro would have more of an opportunity to showcase his abilities and have greater matches, especially since talent get longer time in the ring to actually wrestle on NXT.

Doing this on a weekly basis would not only make NXT a better show, but it would improve all of the other wrestlers on the roster, and that is something WWE should be looking to do.

9 Main Roster: To Become World Champion

While some fans might believe that it will never happen, Cesaro becoming a World Champion can never be truly ruled out until he retires because anything can happen in the world of WWE.

Nobody ever expected Kofi Kingston to have the WWE Championship and a major win at WrestleMania but that happened through being in the right circumstance and making the most of his opportunity.

Should Cesaro leave the main roster then that dream would never be able to become a reality, and while it might not always be perfect for him, continuing to graft on the main roster is something he has to do in order to accomplish that goal.

8 NXT: He Suits It Better

As previously mentioned, NXT is the 'wrestling brand' of WWE, which focuses on the in-ring quality and what happens bell to bell more so than anything else, which is something that suits Cesaro to perfection.

While NXT does still have plenty of room for entertainment, Cesaro is more than capable of cutting a promo or being involved in a comedic segment every now and then, but the focus on wrestling would highlight his biggest strengths.

WWE should always look to highlight the strengths of its talent, and when you consider just how good Cesaro is in the ring, giving him 20 minutes each Wednesday would really make NXT a better product.

7 Main Roster: Quality Wrestling

It is fair to say that WWE's main roster has a real mix of incredible wrestlers and fantastic entertainers who have limited in-ring capabilities but excel on the microphone and with character work.

WWE needs to have that balance in order to cater to a wide variety of wrestling fans and Cesaro certainly fills the great wrestling side of that argument, being one of the best in-ring talents in the entire company.

Cesaro can be thrown into any match and he will instantly improve it with his work-rate and talent, and that isn't something that the main roster can just throw away.

6 NXT: Teaming With Kassius Ohno

For those that followed Cesaro's career prior to him joining WWE, they will be very familiar with the fact that Cesaro used to be in a tag team with Kassius Ohno, known as The Kings Of Wrestling.

While Kassius Ohno is currently working exclusively for the NXT UK roster, that doesn't mean that he can't either move back to NXT, or work both shows in a similar manner to how WALTER and the rest of IMPERIUM work.

NXT is well known for having incredible tag team wrestling and putting two men as experienced as they are together to work with some of the teams could really enhance that division.

5 Main Roster: Reunite The Bar

While fans would love to see Cesaro teaming up with Kassius Ohno for the first time in a WWE environment as that tag team is one of the biggest parts of his career, the WWE Universe would also love to see him reunite with Sheamus.

The Bar has been separated ever since Sheamus went away due to injury, and while it is unknown if the Celtic Warrior will be cleared for a return if he does get cleared putting him back with Cesaro would be a great move.

The Bar were one of the best tag teams in recent memory within WWE, putting on high-quality matches on a regular basis and keeping Cesaro on the main roster to do that again wouldn't be a bad thing.

4 NXT: Working In The UK

After NXT moved to the USA Network, we have already seen several wrestlers from NXT UK make the move to NXT such as Rhea Ripley and WALTER, but that doesn't mean they are exclusive to the American version of the brand.

WALTER and Tyler Bate have appeared in NXT UK still, and having Cesaro work on both shows could do wonders for the product, especially since Cesaro has been open about wanting to do just that.

Cesaro appeared at NXT Takeover: Cardiff for a one-off match, and he got plenty of people talking about the brand, which is something that it desperately needs right now, and a more permanent move would really help that.

3 Main Roster: Traveling The World

While people are always quick to look at the benefits in terms of a person's wrestling career when thinking about if they should move back to NXT, the reality of their life away from the ring isn't considered.

Of course, the travel of main roster wrestlers is something that can be incredibly gruelling, however, it does allow wrestlers the opportunity to travel around the entire world, taking in the sights and the cultures.

Cesaro is one of the WWE Superstars who absolutely love the travel aspect of being a professional wrestler, and that isn't something that NXT can offer right now.

2 NXT: Being A Main Event Talent

While there is always a chance Cesaro could become a World Champion and a headline name in WWE, the reality is that the upper-mid card is more likely where Cesaro's glass ceiling is on the main roster.

However, if he was to go to NXT the odds are that Cesaro would quickly be pushed into a main event picture, being focused as a possible NXT Champion who could headline a Takeover with ease.

Cesaro could be a major player in NXT that makes a huge difference to the product, and while he certainly has a key role in the main roster, this would take him to that next level.

1 Main Roster: Utility Player

Since Cesaro was split from Sheamus due to his injury, WWE has failed to give him a legitimate storyline to sink his teeth into, but that doesn't mean he hasn't been used by WWE.

In fact, it's quite the opposite as Cesaro has been used on the show on a weekly basis in a variety of ways, really becoming a top utility player for the company as WWE has placed him in several small feuds with the likes of Aleister Black for example.

Cesaro is able to be dropped in at any moment, whether it be a singles match on a show or a small television storyline of multiple matches, making others look great and always being taken seriously regardless of how many defeats he suffers.
