Changes Being Made To RAW Due To Low Ratings

During RAW this week, the announce team referred to the live crowd in Los Angeles as "fans" rather than the dreaded corporate expression "WWE Universe". According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the change was done intentionally. While Meltzer couldn't confirm whether the use of the word fans rather than WWE Universe will be permanent, he did say there are changes being made to the RAW brand.

“They’ve taken stock of things. Last week’s rating…believe it or not, after all the ratings, last week’s rating made them…I don’t know exactly everything but the verbiage isn’t supposed to be as bad now.”

He also made note of the use of the entrance ramp and big screen to upgrade entrances as a way of enhancing the RAW brand.
