Charlotte Flair's Shot At Ronda Rousey Catches The Rock's Eye

Charlotte Flair took to Twitter this week in order to fire shots at her possible WrestleMania 34 opponent Ronda Rousey.

Ronda Rousey shocked the wrestling world at the Royal Rumble by showing up and pointing to the WrestleMania sign. A little over a week later and everything surrounding Rousey has died down a little. She hasn't appeared on WWE television since and wasn't even mentioned on Raw or SmackDown Live this past week.

It may be the case that The Rowdy One doesn't return to WWE again until WrestleMania 34 for what could potentially be her first match. Who will that bout be against though? There are a number of options. She could go up against Stephanie McMahon. There is talk that she could take on the undefeated Asuka. The most likely scenario, however, is a dream match against SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair.

Flair was in the ring when Rousey arrived at the Royal Rumble but hasn't addressed the possibility of facing her. That was until this past Tuesday. Flair posted a picture of herself on Twitter standing in the ring along with the caption "Champions don't need to point." Rousey isn't referenced in the tweet but it's pretty clear who the statement made by The Queen of WWE is aimed at.

The comment has garnered more than just the attention of the fans too. The tweet made it on to The Rock's radar who replied, claiming that the tweet was a "bad ass line" and signed off with "tell em champ." Rock has actually stood shoulder to shoulder with Rousey inside a WWE ring back at WrestleMania 31. Despite his affinity to her clearly in a match between the two The People's Champ would back the competitor from his own world.

NEXT: SPOILER ON THE ROCK'S AVAILABILITY FOR WRESTLEMANIA

There are likely only a handful of people who know what Ronda Rousey's WrestleMania plans are right now and ironically her potential opponent won't be one of them. That won't stop Charlotte Flair plus some other Superstars from poking the bear on social media though. Plus, if Rousey is indeed planning on being with WWE for the long haul then she will undoubtedly face Flair at some point, even if it isn't as soon as WrestleMania 34.
