Charlotte Flair has put together a Hall of Fame worthy career faster than almost every other superstar in WWE history. The most shocking thing is that Charlotte wasn’t even in the wrestling business a decade ago. WWE saw her progress faster than expected by becoming a breakout star for NXT and moving on to even more success on the main roster.

The contributions of Flair played a huge role in the women’s evolution. Charlotte will have even more importance right now with Becky Lynch gone since she’s now easily the biggest star in the women’s division. An incredible sign of success is that Charlotte has done things in wrestling before her legendary father Ric Flair. Many wrestlers would flop following his legacy, but she paved her own way. The following things done by Charlotte have never been done by her father Ric.

10 Win Four World Titles in WWE

The title reigns of Charlotte Flair have seen her winning four different world titles for WWE. Charlotte has the Divas Championship, Raw Women’s Championship, Smackdown Women’s Championship and NXT Women’s Championship all on her resume.

Ric Flair did a great job in the early 90s as the WWE Champion, but he never won any of the other WWE world titles. WWE viewed Flair as too old to win the World Championship and he retired before the Universal Championship was created.

9 Ended a Top Star's Undefeated Streak

One of the biggest moments of Charlotte Flair’s career saw her ending Asuka’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania 34. Asuka went over 900 days in WWE from her NXT debut to the main roster without a single loss.

The dream match at WM saw Asuka’s undefeated streak on the line against Charlotte’s Smackdown Women’s Championship reign. Charlotte ending Asuka’s streak was huge for her career. Ric had a chance to end Undertaker’s undefeated WrestleMania streak, but he took the loss at WM 18.

8 Recruited Before Entering Business

Charlotte Flair was recruited by WWE to join the company on a developmental contract after seeing her at one of the WrestleMania weekends with her dad and family. The background in volleyball and other sports proved Charlotte had the athleticism.

WWE offered Charlotte a contract before she even made the decision to start training. Ric and 99% of other wrestlers had to make their name before any major company offered a contract. Charlotte however had the fortune of being recruited to give it a try.

7 Won an Iron Man Match

Ric Flair wrestled many 30+ minute matches, but he never took part in an official Iron Man match. The stipulation of having to score the most pin falls in either 30 or 60 minutes make the stipulation quite fascinating.

Charlotte Flair wrestled in an Iron Man match and won it before her father ever competed in one. The rivalry of Sasha Banks vs Charlotte ended with the latter winning a grueling Iron Man match to regain the Raw Women’s Championship.

6 Hit Moonsaults From the Top Rope

Ric Flair has been adamant that he believes Charlotte Flair is already a better wrestler than he was. The outstanding work of Ric made him a legend, but he never had the all-around athleticism of Charlotte and many other current stars.

Charlotte advertises her genetics as being above the other wrestlers due to her father, but she didn’t get most of those skills from him. Ric jokes that he never hit a moonsault in his career even though Charlotte does it with ease quite often.

5 Compete in a Hell in a Cell Match

The Hell in a Cell cage match has become one of the most popular stipulations in WWE history. Ric Flair returned to WWE in 2001 when it was a part of the culture, but he never competed inside of the structure as a wrestler.

Charlotte Flair made history when not only winning the first women’s Hell in a Cell match vs Sasha Banks, but it was also the first time WWE allowed a women’s match to main event a PPV. The moment stands out among the biggest accomplishments of Charlotte’s career.

4 Win WWE Title as a Face

Ric Flair had two WWE Championship reigns in the early 90s during his stint in WWE. Both title wins came as a heel character. Ric did well in both character roles, but it was obvious he was a better heel. WWE only cared to use him as such during his prime run there.

Charlotte Flair has found more WWE success than her father in the face role. The overall story is the same since Charlotte is better as a heel, but a few of her title wins did come as a face.

3 Date in the Industry

One personal difference between Ric and Charlotte Flair comes behind the scenes. Ric often jokes about the marriages and divorces in his life, but he never dated a co-worker during his time working with them. His current wife Wendy Barlow worked with him in WCW as Fifi the Maid, but they didn’t tell until decades later.

Charlotte has felt more comfortable falling in love with peers at different times. Former WWE developmental wrestler and former TNA star Bram was married to Charlotte for a short time. The current couple of Charlotte and Andrade are engaged with plans of a wedding coming soon.

2 Main Evented WrestleMania

The biggest overall accomplishment for Charlotte Flair over her father was getting the top spot of a WrestleMania main event. Charlotte faced off with Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey in the first-ever women’s WM main event match at WM 35.

Ric had a few huge WrestleMania matches against legends like Randy Savage, The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, but none of those bouts closed the show. The best chance was the Savage match that saw Hulk Hogan vs Sid Justice main event over the title match.

1 Defeat a Hart

One of the more fascinating facts about Ric Flair’s career was that he never defeated Bret Hart in a singles match. The two wrestled many times on television and on house shows during their time together in WWE and WCW each.

Bret won every single match between the two that had a finish. Charlotte ended the Flair family’s bad luck against the Harts by defeating Natalya for the NXT Women’s Championship. It was fitting that Ric and Bret were both ringside and made peace in their personal lives after watching the new generation face off.
