Long-time WWE superstar Chris Jericho was among the many wrestling legends who appeared on the Raw 25th Anniversary special on Monday night. Y2J had a brief segment backstage, where he sang a song about Elias before putting he and his scarf on The List of Jericho.
Jericho's appearance was surprising and amazing for WWE fans. It was reported earlier by Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Jericho and the WWE couldn't work out a contract that would have brought the nine-time Intercontinental Champion on the show.
Nonetheless, Jericho and his list made another epic appearance. And after last night's episode of Monday Night Raw, Y2J managed to add a few more names to the list of Jericho:
Tom Phillips, Mike Rome, Cathy Kelley and the cameraman learned the hard way - mess with Jericho and you make the list.
Jericho was also wearing a New Japan Pro Wrestling shirt, which must have irked Vince McMahon a bit. Y2J fought fellow Winnipeger Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12 in Tokyo on Jan. 4 in a losing effort. It should be noted that McMahon gave Jericho the thumbs up to compete in the rival promotion, however.
Unfortunately for WWE fans, that was likely Jericho's final appearance with the company for a while. He and Fozzy are set to tour during the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 34 dates, making another appearance in the nearby future unlikely. Jericho also warned fans that the match against Omega would be his last one for a while.
Jericho's last run with the WWE was arguably the finest of his career. He became a Grand Slam Champion after capturing the United States title and helped put younger talents like AJ Styles and Kevin Owens over. Oh, and The List of Jericho was only the greatest thing any wrestler has come up with in history.
Here's hoping we'll see Y2J and his list before long once again. There are always plenty of names that must be added, after all.
