Because Chris Jericho is one of the biggest names in the history of wrestling, he has the star power and ability to put over other wrestlers. Throughout his career, Jericho has proven himself to not be a selfish legend and he has always put over others when the time has been right.

But while he has put over some huge stars when it has made sense, there have been plenty of times when he's put over people that perhaps didn't need it. Because of that, people have forgotten about some of the wrestlers that Jericho has put over throughout his time in wrestling.

10 Jack Swagger

It's interesting to see how their careers have intertwined together as Chris Jericho and Jack Swagger now work together in AEW as members of The Inner Circle. However, back in WWE, Jericho was the man who tried to put over Swagger as a main event level star.

It was Jericho who was the World Heavyweight Champion when Jack Swagger cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcas. Y2J did everything he could to make Swagger a big deal. But, that didn't last for Swagger, which is why many people have forgotten about this completely.

9 Fandango

The main reason that people have totally forgotten about the fact Chris Jericho put over Fandango is because of how his career went. While Fandango was a rising star at the time with fans really getting behind the character, his momentum quickly faded away.

Jericho certainly did his job here, losing at WrestleMania 29 and really going above and beyond to make Fandango a character that fans could invest in. However, the fact that Fandango didn't sustain this fire made many fans forget all about his encounter with Y2J.

8 Wade Barrett

Another wrestler who had a massive push early in his career, only to then amount to very little was Wade Barrett. Once again, WWE used Chris Jericho to put over Barrett as he had been his mentor during the original NXT season.

The two men had a competitive match, won by Barrett on Monday Night Raw, and Jericho was one of the WWE Superstars that Nexus attacked frequently. It was a big moment for Barrett and it certainly helped his career along.

7 Muhammad Hassan

Muhammad Hassan

Muhammad Hassan was put over by a lot of people during his time in WWE because he was pushed heavily by the company. WWE made him one of the top heels in the industry and he did have a lot of potential to achieve a major career.

Chris Jericho was someone who put him over in the ring, with Hassan scoring a big victory against him. It was something that could have been really impactful in the long-term if Hassan's career hadn't been cut short, but sadly that wasn't the case.

6 Bray Wyatt

Chris Jericho vs Bray Wyatt

It's quite surprising that a lot of people have forgotten about the storyline between Chris Jericho and Bray Wyatt because they battled over a series of PPV events. They competed at SummerSlam, they battled in a steel cage, and Jericho really put over the young talent.

The main reason that many people have forgotten about it is because Bray Wyatt had such an up-and-down career at that stage, and he was no longer much of an attraction after being fed to Cena. However, Jericho was one of few big-name talents who was happy to put over Wyatt to establish him as a star.

5 Shelton Benjamin

Another wrestler that Chris Jericho put over was Shelton Benjamin, which is one fans have forgotten simply because it was such a while ago. It is also slightly forgotten as Jericho wasn't much of a main event star by that point.

However, Jericho was the one who put Benjamin over first, dropping the Intercontinental Championship to him. It helped build Benjamin as a top star straight away, making him seem like a major name immediately.

4 John Cena

While Chris Jericho and John Cena have feuded later on in life, during the early stages of Cena's career, Jericho was the man to help establish him as an up-and-coming star. Long before he became the leader of the Cenation, Jericho was happy to put him over.

The two men's feud back in 2002 was very brief, but it was a great way of putting over John Cena as a talent as Jericho was already an established name who fans treated as a top star. Y2J would put over Cena once more in 2005 and then again in 2008.

3 Kofi Kingston

Kofi Kingston is now a well established top name, but part of that is down to Chris Jericho after he took the Intercontinental Championship from him. It was only a brief feud, which is why it has been forgotten, but it allowed Kofi to pick up gold in WWE. This was Kingston's very first title win in WWE, which he received at Night of Champions 2018 in an upset victory against Y2J.

This was mainly done to help move Jericho onto other things and because his next feud was such a major one against Shawn Michaels, his encounter with Kingston has been largely forgotten about.

2 Braun Strowman

Chris Jericho randomly appeared to team up with part of The Shield to battle against the Wyatt Family and this was the point when Braun Strowman was fresh in the group. He was built as a top monster at the time, and he got the chance to dominate against Chris Jericho here.

Jericho teamed up with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns in a losing effort against The Wyatts at Night of Champions 2015. They didn't have a major storyline against each other, but Jericho still put him over by being an established name that Strowman could work with at that point. The Wyatt Family won the match after Strowman caused Jericho to pass out via a submission hold.

1 Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler was already an established name when he feuded against Chris Jericho, but that didn't stop the WWE veteran from putting him over. The two men had a great feud which ended up with Ziggler getting rid of Jericho from WWE in August 2012.

Because Ziggler's career has been so up and down, people have forgotten about Jericho feuding with him and putting the Show-Off over. They would meet again in April 2013, with Ziggler once again coming out on top.
