While he is fondly remembered as a member of the Edge & Christian tag team, Captain Charisma did manage to break out on his own and have a successful run. In the WWE, he won the Intercontinental title on four occasions and also managed to secure the ECW, European, Hardcore, Light Heavyweight, and Heavyweight titles.

Christian's success continued when he left the company and made his way to TNA. He won the Heavyweight Championship twice and competed in some of the best bouts of his career. Christian had the ability to hit the switch and turn a good match into a great one, no matter if it was in TNA or WWE.

10 TNA: Vs. Abyss Vs. Sting (Final Resolution 2007)

With Abyss's NWA Title on the line, the odds were against him as he faced two veterans of the ring in an elimination match. All three men started throwing bombs, and after an eye poke and low blow from Christian, Sting was able to pin Abyss and eliminate him.

With a new champion guaranteed, the crowd got off their seats as they cheered on The Icon and Captain Charisma. Christian attempted to cheat to win while Sting used Cage's Unprettier to try and grab the victory. Abyss would return and take out Sting, allowing Christian to land a frog splash and secure the title.

9 WWE: Vs. Rob Van Dam (RAW, September 29, 2003)

While the Intercontinental Title was regularly defended on RAW, it was rarely challenged in a ladder match. One would think that Christian would have had the advantage as he was one of the founders of the TLC match. However, RVD is no stranger to weapons in the ring as an ECW original.

The two didn't disappoint as they competed for the title in the main event. Both men absorbed a lot of punishment along the way as both took some nasty falls from the top of the ladder, but RVD was able to grab the title first.

8 TNA: Vs. Rhino (Impact, November 16, 2006)

It would be Impact's first episode during prime time and Christian's first anniversary with the company, so what better way to celebrate than with a Six Sides Of Steel Barbed Wire Match against the man-beast Rhino.

Both men were allowed to have weapons of their choosing handed to them by referees upon request as if it was an old-timey dual. After Captain Charisma attempted to retrieve a chair, the bout quickly descended into a hardcore match reminiscent of ECW. Cage would pick up the victory after losing a lot of blood and being gored through the cage door to the floor.

7 WWE: Vs. John Cena Vs. Chris Jericho (Vengeance 2005)

While Christian and Jericho share a homeland and have tagged together in the past, this match was every man for themselves. Cena was defending his WWE Championship against the two Canadians, and while it seemed obvious that he would retain, there were plenty of moments in the bout that made it seem as if a new champion would be crowned.

At various times in the match, Jericho looked like he would win by submission, and when Christian landed the Unprettier, fans thought the would get the three-count. But Cena would retain after putting Christian on his shoulders, using his feet to neutralize Jericho, and landing the AA for the victory.

6 TNA: Vs. Jeff Jarrett (Against All Odds 2006)

When Christian made his arrival in TNA, he set his sights on the NWA Championship that was held by Jeff Jarrett. Christian had the odds against him as Jarrett was accompanied by Gail Kim, who would interfere multiple times during the match.

Cage took a guitar shot to the head and Jarrett's finisher from the top rope, but it wasn't enough to finish Captain Charisma. Christian was able to overcome Kim's interference and land the Unprettier to win his first Heavyweight Championship in his new home.

5 WWE: Vs. Chris Jericho (WrestleMania XX)

Trish Stratus Christian

This rivalry began over a bet on who could sleep with Lita or Trish first with the winner getting one Canadian dollar. Christian and Trish found themselves booked in a match, and instead of letting her win, Captain Charisma clotheslined her and made her tap out to the Walls of Jericho.

Stratus would get involved in the WrestleMania match as well and cost Jericho the bout. Christian and Trish would reveal their alliance after the contest by sharing a kiss at the top of the ramp.

4 TNA: Vs. Frankie Kazarian (Genesis 2007)

The final fight in a tournament for a title shot saw Christian take on the up and comer Frankie Kazarian in a ladder match. Cage went in confident due to his experience in these kinds of bouts, but Kazarian made an immediate impact and busted open Christian early on. The blood loss would end up making an impact on Cage's ability to capitalize after big maneuvers.

Kaz would make a comeback and disable Christian and his allies who attempted to help out. Ultimately, Frankie would overcome it all to climb the ladder and grab the title shot.

3 WWE: Vs. Alberto Del Rio (Extreme Rules 2011)

With the World Heavyweight Championship dangling above the ring, it was Christian's first opportunity to prove that he was good enough to hold one of the top titles in the company. Alberto Del Rio was just coming off of retiring The Rated R Superstar, Edge, and was desperate for his title back.

Both men went back and forth for over twenty minutes, trying to remain on the ladder for long enough to grab the belt. Edge would arrive and distract Del Rio long enough for Christian to grab the gold and win his first World Title.

2 TNA: Vs. Samoa Joe (Destination X 2007)

The chants of "Joe's Going To Kill You" echoed throughout the arena before Samoa Joe had even hit the ring. The second the bell rang, Joe went the offense and delivered a series of punches and kicks to the body of Christian.

Joe would decimate his opponent limb by limb and land suicide dives, enziguris, and the muscle buster to try and win the championship. His last-ditch effort was to lock in the coquina clutch, but Christian was able to force a pin and get his feet on the ropes to steal the victory.

1 WWE: Vs. Randy Orton (SummerSlam 2011)

After swapping the title back and forth for months, Orton and Christian ended their rivalry with a no holds barred match at SummerSlam. Neither men held back in trying to destroy the other. Kendo sticks, tables, and the Spanish announcer's booth would all be used as weapons, but it would be the steel ring steps that would make the biggest impact.

Christian would take to the middle rope to try and land a crossbody, but The Viper would catch him and land the RKO onto the ring stairs to end the match.
