Frankie Kazarian has provided an update on the injury status of his teammate Christopher Daniels.

Kazarian took to Twitter on Friday to announce Daniels allegedly suffered a pinched nerve and likely won't be back in a ring any time soon.

"The good news is he’s ok. Diagnosed with a pinched nerve. His spirits are high," he wrote. "The bad news is he will be out of action for a while. [Scorpio Sky] stepped in and SCU now has even more to fight for. We WILL be [AEW] tag team champions."

Daniels was attacked by the Lucha Brothers during Wednesday's edition of Dynamite. This occurred right before SCU's AEW World Tag Team Tournament match with Best Friends, causing Scorpio Sky to replace CD after Penta took him out with a Package Piledriver on the ramp.

Christopher Daniels also commented on the injury via Twitter. "Injuries are the worst," he wrote. "They’re like a tunnel where you don’t know the length, you don’t know when you’ll see daylight again. But I didn’t come this far just to fade away. Especially since I have unfinished business to attend to. Thanks for the well wishes, everyone. SCU...soon"
