Another match was added to the Clash of Champions pay-per-view show on Dec. 17, 2017, and it'll feature Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn against Randy Orton and a partner of his choosing - yet to be revealed.
However, Shinsuke Nakamura did come out to save Orton after being attacked by Owens and Zayn on SmackDown—so there's already speculation that the former NXT star will align himself with the legend killer.
Last week, Owens defeated Orton on SmackDown following interference from Zayn—his new best friend. That started a new rivalry between all parties, and it'll be the fifth time Owens and Zayn compete in a tag team match. They've won three and fought to a draw against Big E and Xavier Woods.
The Clash of Champions card is nearly set. AJ Styles and Charlotte will put their championships on the line against Jinder Mahal and Natalya, respectively. A Triple Threat Match between Baron Corbin, Bobby Roode, and Dolph Ziggler is also scheduled for the United States Championship.
Also, a three-way match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships between The Usos, New Day and Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable will take place. It remains to be seen if any more matches will be added to the card.
Obviously, Nakamura is the favorite to be Orton's chosen partner. Unless a Raw superstar crosses over, or part-timer like John Cena or even Chris Jericho returns, it's probably safe to guess that Nakamura will be Orton's tag team partner.
It's even possible that Orton chooses commissioner Shane McMahon to be his partner. After all, Shane-O Mac does have unfinished business with the duo who have brutally attacked he and his own father.
We should find out by next week who Randy Orton's partner is, but the early indicators point to him and Shinsuke Nakamura teaming up for the first time.
