CM Punk has seemingly jumped out of the frying pan of wrestling and into the fire which is the UFC. He has followed a trend that has been set by the likes of Brock Lesnar and Dave Batista. According to CM Punk, he was treated very badly by wrestling and had bouts of sickness and of course the stories about how Ryback nearly ended his career while he was still in his prime.

Punk has made his jump from wrestling to UFC in 2014 and it has not fared well for him. Punk came up short, short as in the first round, with his first fight against Mickey Gall at UFC 203. Punk is starting to see that maybe the UFC may not be his cup of tea. He has made comments on social media about his placement on UFC cards with the implication that he does not deserve the honor of his placement.

Some fans took to social media and expressed their opinion about Punk's upcoming fight this coming June 9th against Mike Jackson. A UFC fan posted a tweet on Twitter about Punk's placement on the upcoming UFC card saying that there are "more deserving and qualified fighters who would kill for the chance."

Another UFC fighter named Mark Coleman caught the tweet from the fan and said "Sometimes you have to make exceptions. $" Mark Coleman then goes on to say "I wish @CMPunk the best, but I understand." Although Coleman gave a shout out of support to Punk, he eventually caught a hard dose of reality with a tweet that reads "I understand too. If it was up to me, I'd be first fight on fight pass. Don't matter to me." There were more unfavorable tweets by other UFC fans that slammed Punk as well.

Punk's tweet shows that he is perhaps becoming disillusioned with the UFC. Wrestling gave Punk his notoriety and character and was his first love. Punk should have trained a bit longer before taking his first UFC fight in 2016. If all else fails, he should return to wrestling where he will always have his fan base.
