CM Punk admitted that he was never a Hulk Hogan guy growing up, and likes the Hall of Famer even less now that he's met him.

Everyone has their favorite wrestlers and although it is a very subjective matter, there are certain names that pop up more than others. Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Stone Cold, you know the ones. However, despite what the man has done in more recent years, the one name most fans of a certain age cite when discussing their favorite wrestler as a child is Hulk Hogan.

Hogan transcended the wrestling business during the latter half of the 1980s so it makes sense that he influenced so many young fans. He also continued that impact into the 90s, leading the nWo when he eventually made the jump to WCW. It's more common that someone over the age of 25 would say they loved Hogan than not.

Which is why when CM Punk admitted he wasn't a Hogan guy during an interview with Windy City Live, the interviewer was taken aback. Punk revealed his favorite wrestler to be a 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper and then proceeded to double down on his dislike for The Hulkster. "I wasn't a Hogan guy. I've met him and like him even less now. F**k him!"

As for when exactly Punk had the opportunity to meet Hogan we're not so sure. By recently he might mean before he left WWE all the way back in 2014. However, there's a chance he bumped into the HOFer very recently. FOX auditioned a lot of people to be a part of Backstage, maybe Hogan was one of them and he is just yet to appear on FS1's new studio show.

As for some of the other reasons Hogan has fallen out of favor with fans who once loved him, we're fairly certain Punk will have heard the commotion. Even though Punk turned a blind eye to the wrestling business while he was away, the Hogan controversy was everywhere, especially when WWE removed him from the HOF and cut all ties with him. If Punk already didn't like him before, chances are he downright despises him at this point.
