CM Punk surprisingly wants to see the current Rusev-Lana storyline extend all the way to WrestleMania. So much so that he has already fantasy booked the whole thing.

CM Punk might not be back in the ring (yet) but we currently have the next best thing. Punk on a WWE-affiliated show letting us know what he thinks about the current product. Punk has already created a couple of awkward moments for the WWE employees he shares the camera with on Backstage. He tried to get Paige to admit she hated the segment where Baron Corbin got someone to dress as a dog.

The Second City Saint returned to Backstage this week and this time the love triangle between Lana, Rusev, and Bobby Lashley was in his crosshairs. However, what came as quite the shock to us is that Punk didn't necessarily disparage the angle. Instead, he suggested that it carry on into 2020 and all the way up to WrestleMania and beyond.

Not just an angle for an angle's sake either. Punk has the whole thing fantasy booked and revealed his plan on the show. "Lana and Bobby go off and do their thing, but Lana grinds on the nerves, Bobby is sick of her," Punk explained. After that, he would have Lashley and Rusev align over their mutual dislike of Lana. The Ravishing Russian would then attach herself to another tag team.

"They put Lana in a shark cage because by WrestleMania the new tag team is already so sick of Lana that the loser of the match gets what's in the shark cage," Punk added as he continued to lay out his master plan. Honestly, we don't hate it. After all of that, it could be a way to eventually get Rusev and Lana back together. Rusev and Lashley lose the Mania match, and things return to normal beyond that.

Whether that's what Punk sees for the angle beyond WrestleMania, who knows? The former WWE Champion did add that he knows where it could go after that match, claiming to have an idea for how WWE could include Lana in one of its Saudi Arabia shows. Punk has laid out his plan on Twitter, tagging Rusev and Lana but so far, neither of them has replied.
