CM Punk has had his say on what he believes was the best wrestling promo of the decade, and it wasn't the pipebomb he dropped back in 2011.

As the year and the decade come to a close, wrestling fans around the world are thinking about and collating their very own "best of" lists. Best wrestler, best match, best PPV, and so on. WWE on FOX went a slightly different way with it and asked fans to nominate what they believe to have been the very best promo of the past decade.

It might seem like a long time ago but believe it or not, CM Punk's famous pipebomb promo actually qualifies to be the best of the past decade. Punk dropped what would become one of the most iconic promos in wrestling history back in 2011. Unsurprisingly, that was what a lot of fans picked.

As for Punk himself, he went in a slightly different direction. After starting out by giving a joke answer, Punk then returned to the post and gave his serious nomination. A pipebomb dropped by his wife AJ Lee. Lee cut the scathing promo two years after her husband had cut his and did so in much the same fashion as Punk had done in 2011.

With the cast of Total Divas stood in and around the ring, Lee stood at the top of the ramp, Divas' Title over her shoulder, and said what she thought of the reality show and basically how it and its stars were holding the business back. How right she was, and this was two years prior to the official start of the women's revolution in WWE. Our favorite line is when Lee pauses between "suck" and "up" to insinuate that someone she was addressing did a little extra to ascend up the card in WWE.

Although Lee and Punk are married, there's no doubting the former's promo is pretty good and worthy of being mentioned in the best of the decade conversation. It also reminded us how much we would love Lee to return to WWE, even if it was only for a handful of matches. The former Divas' Champion recently reiterated her intention to stay retired though, so we may never see Lee wrestle again.
