There are many great attributes in the making of a heel. One of those attributes is to use the power of emotional keep-away on the crowd. This is perhaps one of the best attributes of a heel persona. Being the heel does not necessarily mean that he or she can be confined to just breaking the rules of making the crowd open their eyes in awe because of a dastardly deed done by them.

In a video posted on Twitter, Cody Rhodes is standing in a ROH ring. Rhodes seems to have carte blanche when it comes to his heel character since being released from the WWE. Although he has ditched the Frank Gorshin inspired Stardust gimmick that he had in the WWE, his heel persona seems more expansive as he let the NYC crowd have it about the location of All in 2 playing the keep away role and suddenly tricking them.

Rhodes announces to the crowd that he found out the location to where the All in 2 event is set to take place. The crowd then burst into chants of "Holy S***, Holy S***". He then says "Now, can you guess where it is?" Rhodes then announces that the event will be held in NYC. In a turn of events, the crowd begins to give Rhodes praise, first cheering "Yes!" chants over and over, and then cheering "Thank you Cody, Thank you Cody".

As streams of toilet tissue are thrown into the ring, Rhodes is being lauded, he then goes in and explains to the crowd, "Actually, I am completely kidding". He then says that ROH would never have All In 2 in this "Rat City" He is then met by boos from the crowd in typical heel fashion.

Rhodes seems to have a much better character since being released from the WWE. His heel promos are a lot better and he is able to get more heel heat than he could in the WWE. The smarks in the crowd knew what was about to come, and they played up to Rhodes' announcement in true wrestling fan fashion. The Stardust character was more or less a spin-off of Goldust done in bad fashion, but Rhodes is now a much better heel being since breaking away from the WWE.
