Controversial wrestling star, most known for gimmicks revolving around his genitals, has signed a long-term deal with Impact Wrestling.

Calling it a decision that "made the most sense" Ryan will appear for Impact Wrestling over the next few years, while "doing his thing" on the independent wrestling scene at the same time. The news was first broken by SoCal Uncensored and Ryan then confirmed the news on Twitter shortly after. He made an appearance at The Bound for Glory pay-per-view in the 20-Person Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match.

"It made the most sense. @IMPACTWRESTLING has been the most consistent wrestling program on TV for the past 2 years, I get to keep all of my indie dates and best of all, they let me be me," Ryan wrote.

It Does Actually Make the Most Sense

For Ryan, because what he does is such a polarizing thing for wrestling fans, Impact does make the most sense. WWE was rumored to have been interested but there was no way they'd let him continue to use his penis as his most powerful weapon in matches. And, while AEW seems more prone to interesting gimmicks, that might have been out of the question there too.

Impact could use the media buzz and Ryan being allowed to do what's made him a lot of money on the indie scene over the past couple of years is a wise decision.

Ryan previously worked for Impact Wrestling from 2012 to 2013 but it will be interesting to see if this new deal pays off for the company or if they take a lot of heat for bringing him in and not toning down his gimmick. Clearly, the video as posted by WrestlingInc. shows he's as ridiculous as ever.
