Corey Graves has called out WWE Superstars for complaining about being stuck in Saudi Arabia and explained why Vince McMahon left right after Crown Jewel.

A large chunk of the past week's wrestling news headlines have been dominated by what happened immediately after Crown Jewel. Although details remain fuzzy, it's assumed that due to technical issues, all but 20 Superstars were left stranded in Saudi Arabia. Due to certain talent being advertised for SmackDown the following night, WWE selected 20 Superstars to put on a chartered flight back to the US.

Judging by thinly-veiled tweets from those who were left behind, it sounds as if that much is definitely true. Stranded stars tweeted their displeasure at being left behind and included the hashtag #NotTop20. Corey Graves, who was one of the 20 people picked to board the smaller plane, has spoken out against those who have been complaining via his podcast, After The Bell.

"Quit crying about it on Twitter. You’re a WWE Superstar. This happens, this is part of our life," Graves said on the podcast. The announcer admitted to being part of the "Saudi 20" as he puts it as WWE wanted him back in the US in time to call SmackDown. We now know even the 20 Superstars on that smaller flight didn't make it back in time, reportedly landing during the show.

Graves also shed a little light on why Vince McMahon wasn't there to deal with the problem himself, something the chairman has been receiving a lot of flack for. "As soon as it’s made sure that all the talent is okay, whoever was in the last match, Vince gets on his jet and goes home or to the next city," Graves explained. So as soon as Bray Wyatt lifted the Universal Title, McMahon would have been making a beeline for his jet.

Graves will not have made any friends backstage via these comments. Although he might now be in Randy Orton's good books. Graves revealed that The Viper could have complained about being left behind but didn't say a word. It sounds as if the 20 talent picked was based on people WWE wanted back in time for SmackDown, and not on who they considered to be in a fictional top 20.
